Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez plan extravagant wedding across land and sea

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez are preparing to have one of the most extravagant weddings of the year by all accounts. According to the Daily Mail, there are speculations that the wedding might take place on the Amazon billionaire’s super yacht Koru, moored on an island in Italy.

It would seem that celebrations might also continue on land at Scuola Grande della Misericodria, a historic event’s place in Venice. An exclusive report from TMZ alleges that the soon-to-be-wedded couple will stay at the luxurious Aman Venice Hotel.

The news outlet’s sources report that the hotel which boasts a stunning 16-century palazzo has been booked from June 25 to June 29, 2025. Rumors have it that wedding guests and A list celebrities including Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry will be staying at the hotel.

According to the Daily Mail sources, Jeff Bezos’ $500 million yacht is moored at San Georgio Island.

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding is scheduled from June 24 to 26, 2025. Sources have reported to the Daily Mail that San Georgio island, where the billionaire’s yacht is currently moored, will be inaccessible to the public from June 24 to June 29. More than 50 of Venice’s water taxis and 400 Gondolas are said to be reserved for the week of the event.

While the bakery in charge of the wedding cake hasn’t been confirmed yet, media outlets have reported that the Italian bakery Rosa Salva Venetia will be responsible for providing pastries for the highly anticipated event.

Luigi Brugnaro, Mayor of Venice in a statement, assured the public that the authorities were working with planners to ensure that the city is respected amidst protest from residents:

"We are mutually working and supporting the organizers, to ensure that the event will be absolutely respectful of the fragility and uniqueness of the city.”

Lauren Sanchez has been vocal about some details of the wedding planning and arrangements. In an interview on The Today Show in November 2024, the American journalist revealed that she was excited about her wedding dress:

"Very excited about it, thinking about the dress. I have to say, I do have a Pinterest, I'm just like every other bride, so I do have a Pinterest board."

In a September 2024 interview with Extra, Sanchez added that she was excited to marry the man of her dreams:

"I get to marry the man of my dreams. He's amazing. I get to spend the rest of my life with him, and he loves my kids. And that is really what I am looking forward to."

Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos began dating in 2019 after divorcing their former partners. The Amazon founder proposed to Sánchez in May 2023.
