Popular Mexican singer and songwriter Junior H has allegedly received death threats from a drug cartel asking him to cancel his upcoming performance at the Explanada del Estadio Caliente on November 8, 2025. According to reports, a banner with written threats was found on a ramp in the Buena Vista area of Tijuana, near the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, at about early Tuesday morning.

As per Rolling Stone, the alleged threat was written in Spanish and reads:

“Junior H, refrain from showing up on 08/11. If not, you’re going to get yourself killed. Stop the nonsense: Not singing narcocorridos, it won’t save you. We do not forgive. Signed: CJNG.”

The Baja California Prosecutor’s Office confirmed to Billboard that the investigation is still ongoing and “will provide full security” to Junior H if he arrives at Tijuana.

Representatives of Junior H confirmed to Rolling Stone that the event isn’t canceled and tickets are still for sale.
