“Micah is here!”: Calvin Harris proudly welcomes new baby boy with his wife Vick Hope

Calvin Harris and Vick Hope have become parents for the first time after the couple welcomed their baby boy into the world last month. Calvin broke the news of his son's birth on Instagram, where he gave details about their new baby and the birth experience.

The couple has named their son Micah, who arrived in the world via home birth. Calvin Harris and Vick Hope reportedly opted for a natural and intimate approach to childbirth, as their birth plan included an inflatable pool and placenta encapsulation. Calvin shared the process through an Instagram post, in which he wrote:

"20th of July our boy arrived. Micah is here! My wife is a superhero and I am in complete awe of her primal wisdom! Just so grateful. We love you so much Micah"

Calvin Harris and Vick Hope - a brief history

The path of the couple to parenthood has been anything but conventional. Interestingly, Calvin and Vick met as early as 2007, but it took them many years before they started a romantic relationship. During their first encounter, Vick turned down Calvin, and that is something that the two have made light of in interviews.

It wasn’t until early 2022 that they reconnected and began their romance. The progression of their relationship went fast after that, and Calvin Harris proposed to Hope in May 2022 at his farm in Ibiza. This was topped off with a wedding in the following year, and the occasion of their marriage was bombarded with congratulatory messages from fans all over the world.

"There is a lot of attention and neither of us want it. I don’t know if it’s something that some people do want or if it’s normal in some situations. I just don’t understand it because we both have made it so clear that we’re not courting it at all. We just try to ignore it and get on with it. I think there’s something about my relationship that feels so sacred... it’s protection. We’re protecting ourselves, protecting our energy."
