Kai Cenat recently announced the launch of Streamer University, a weekend-long crash course he's offering for aspiring digital creators. Although many fans and followers have loved the idea of the course on streaming, other streamers like xQc were unimpressed.
In a recent broadcast in May, xQc, also known as Félix Lengyel, an online streamer, criticized Kai's Streamer University courses. He said that most of the courses that were offered were not useful. This is what he said in the broadcast:
''Most of this sh*t is useless. Most of the live content is superfluous content.''
xQc criticizes Kai Cenat's Streamers University courses
The French-Canadian streamer was streaming a broadcast in May and checked out the Streamer University website, which Kai launched on May 6, 2025. As he was checking out the website, he was puzzled by the courses offered.
He highlighted how the site offered courses such as s*x education, music production, and film and acting. Once he checked out the courses, this is what he said,
''Dude, they need to change this low-key to ‘react,’ ‘stalling,’ ‘event hosting,’ ‘fake drama,’ ‘clip farming’ – that’s what you got to know!. That’s what you've got to know. You don’t need any of this sh*t.”
He then emphasized that stalling was an important skill that needed to be taught to streamers. He said,
“Stalling is the most important, notable skill of live broadcast. Most of this sh*t is useless. Most of the live content is superfluous content. You need to be able to stall hard. People have been meta advancing stalling for years.”
This is what xQc had to say about the courses offered by the Streamer University. Before xQc, LosPollos TV streamer Louis's father commented on the University, calling it a 'money grab' and a 'scam' during a live stream. He also questioned the idea of why streaming had to be taught.
Kai Cenat then addressed his comments in his stream, saying that when Louis's father called his course a 'money grab', it had hurt his feelings. He also said that Louis's father had not done his research on the course, as the course he was offering was free of charge.
On May 7, 2025, Kai Cenat announced the launch of Streamer University on X (formerly Twitter) in a Harry Potter-inspired trailer. The course is supposed to help upcoming content creators and will be an in-person affair. Kai had also said that the students would have to attend the course in a college, and they would also be able to stay on the campus.
He had also said that the course would be free of charge and open to streamers of all backgrounds. When Kai Cenat launched the website post the announcement, he received an overwhelming response as millions of individuals signed up for the course.
