The Sean Diddy Combs trial continued on Thursday, May 29, 2025, and a former assistant of the music mogul, identified as Mia, has taken the stand. Mia has recounted claims of a complicated working relationship with Combs and added that she witnessed her former boss assault his on-and-off girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, on several occasions.
This claim was corroborated by stylist Deonte Nash, who testified on May 28 that the Bad Boy Records boss attacked Cassie. Nash added that he witnessed Ventura being beaten until her head started bleeding.
According to the Washington Post, Mia, in her own testimony, said she saw Combs:
“Attack her [Ventura], throw her on the ground … crack her head open … chase her.”
Mia also spoke on the workplace dynamics as an employee of Combs. She stated that at one time, she didn’t sleep for five days due to work demands. She claimed, as a result, she suffered health complications, including temporary deafness and blurry vision:
“My hearing went. It felt like I was underwater. My equilibrium was off.”
Mia claimed that she was hysterical and overcome with emotion before Combs told her to go to sleep.
Mia alleged that Sean Diddy Combs had sexually assaulted her
Mia began her testimony by alleging that Diddy had physically and sexually assaulted her. According to live reports from The Washington Post, Mia, who chooses to be identified by a simple pseudonym, kept her head down as she stated:
“He’s thrown things at me. He’s thrown me against the wall. He’s thrown me into a pool. He also, um, sexually assaulted me.”
Testifying about her past experiences working with Combs, Mia alleged that she wasn’t allowed to leave Combs’ side without his permission and that she couldn’t lock her bedroom door while she was staying with him. She stated that Combs said concerning privacy in his home:
"This is my house. No one locks my doors.”
Mia alleged that one time, after she left Combs’ mansion at 2 am while he slept, she received a phone call from the mogul’s security, who had been ordered to find her. Mia expressed that she had a complicated relationship with her former boss, who sometimes gave her “awesome pep talks” and also shocked and disturbed her on other occasions.
After she testified about Diddy assaulting Cassie Ventura, she added that she witnessed such situations “all the time,” and she didn’t have a number.
Diddy's trial for sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution began on May 5, 2025, with jury selection. The first witness for the prosecution was Cassandra Ventura, the mogul's on-and-off girlfriend from 2007 to 2018, who alleged that she had been subjected to physical, sexual, and emotional abuse in their relationship.
