While it is unclear if the stars have maintained touch in the last few years, the Oscars reunion was lauded by fans. An X user (@selovelenaa) posted a side-to-side photo of the stars. The photo on the left is from their time while filming episodes for Hannah Montana, and the photo on the right is from the Oscars afterparty on March 2, 2025.

While Selena Gomez's and Miley Cyrus's friendship goes way back to their Disney days, they haven't collaborated on another project ever since. However, the duo have expressed public support for each other from time to time. In 2023, Selena's Single Soon and Miley Cyrus's Used To Be Young were scheduled to be released on the same day.
Per Billboard, they took to their socials to promote each other's songs while sharing photos from their Hannah Montana days. While it is unclear if the duo will collaborate in the future, their photo has sparked joy among many Disney fans.
The artists also reportedly met Ariana Grande (another Disney alum) at the Oscars Party, per Elle magazine.
Over time, Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez have worked independently to create their brands and identity. Both of them have previously revealed their intentions to distance themselves from their Disney identity.
In doing so, Selena has founded a beauty brand, Rare Beauty, and more recently is all set to release her new album with Benny Blanco, I Said I Love You First. Per Harper's Bazaar, Miley Cyrus is reportedly releasing a new album, Something Beautiful, this year.
