BTS' Jimin, along with his father and brother, has become the first family trio to join ChildFund Korea’s Green Noble Club, recognized for their years of consistent philanthropic contributions. As per the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, the Be Mine singer's younger brother joined the Green Noble Club in May, following Jimin and their father Therefore, this achievement marks the Park family as the inaugural family trio to be recognized as Green Noble Club donors.

Jimin joined the Green Noble Club in 2021, contributing ₩100 million to support self-reliant youth in Busan, assist families experiencing financial difficulties due to COVID-19, and support housing for children in need. His donation has empowered numerous young individuals to successfully take on independent lives, such as opening cafés, pursuing careers as hair stylists, or training as nursing assistants.

Fans of BTS' Jimin were pleased with his latest achievement as a donor. Consequently, his followers shared their appreciation on social media for Jimin and his family. One of them on X stated:

More about charitable works of BTS' Jimin’s family

In 2022, Jimin’s father became a member of the club by supporting Green Umbrella’s “i-Leader” talent development program. Following this, in May this year, the K-pop idol's younger brother, upon completing his military service, joined the organisation. This established the first father-and-son membership in its history.

The family remains committed to supporting the “i-Leader” program, which nurtures children with talent and potential to become future leaders. Since its inception in 2009, the program has assisted 8,436 children.

Jimin’s father has been a donor to Green Umbrella since 2021, providing assistance to those in need. His contributions include ₩15 million for dental treatment for a struggling single-parent family and monthly living expenses for separated children. His funds were also used as scholarship support for three high school students through their university education.

The BTS member has also been involved in educational support. Since 2019, he has donated ₩30 million annually in scholarships to students at his alma mater, Busan High School of Arts. With this donation, Jimin supported aspiring artists in dance, art, and music.

Additionally, he provided 1,200 new desks and chairs, funded entrance exam preparation, and created performance opportunities for students affected by the pandemic.

Furthermore, the Like Crazy singer donated ₩100 million in educational funds to local offices of education, from Busan to Jeonbuk, and supported single-parent families and elderly individuals living alone. His charities went global with ₩100 million to the Rotary Club in 2021, scholarships for Dong-Eui Institute of Technology in 2023, and earthquake emergency relief for children in Türkiye and Syria.

Even during his military service, Jimin’s philanthropic efforts continued. The BTS vocalist donated ₩100 million to support soldiers and their families and contributed the same amount to firefighting units responding to wildfires in Gyeongbuk. Most recently, he provided ₩30 million to improve housing for low-income seniors.

In recognition of the Park family’s contributions, Green Umbrella presented a thank-you plaque to Jimin’s father last year and another to Jimin this year.

The Green Noble Club is a network of donors fostering a culture of charity in Korea. Over the past eight years, it has expanded to include 548 members.
