Are DDG and India Love dating? Rapper reportedly clarifies ongoing rumors

DDG is setting the rumors straight about his alleged romance with India Love.

The rapper and Twitch streamer spoke to TMZ Hip Hop this week outside the LAX airport, where he acknowledged the blingy heart-shaped chain he gifted India during one of the livestreams. However, he said that it was nothing more than just a gift:

“Nah, that's my friend," he said. "She do a lot of nice things for me too so this is just me returning the favor,” he added. As for where he is romantically, he said, “I’m chilling. Focused on the work.”

As reported by Hot 97, India Love also echoed the sentiments:

“He’s a great person, he’s a great guy,” she said. “I don’t know what God has for my life but I know he’s a great guy. You gotta pour into people who pour into you, and he’s definitely someone who’s right in my corner and I’m also always gonna be right in his corner. So yeah, shoutout to DDG.”

iHeart has reported that DDG reportedly bought India Love a chain worth $25,000, which prompted her to later go on a livestream and gush over him. She said she hasn't "experienced a lot of men like him" and called him a "rare breed." She also claimed to have told his mother the same thing:

"I even told his momma. I said, 'Thank you for Moo,'" she recalled. "He's a rare breed. He does something to my spirit and my heart and I just want to thank you for him because he's like a great f**king man, dude. I don't give a f**k what y'all say. I'm standing 10 toes. I was gonna say I'm obsessed with him and I don't f**king care.

Per the outlet, the rapper and India were seen in Italy around the same time TMZ broke the news that Halle Bailey was vacationing there with her mysterious new man. For context, the streamer shares one son, Halo, with The Little Mermaid actress, and she recently accused him of being domestically violent.

They have also been embroiled in a custody battle over Halo, and back in May, Halle was granted temporary physical and legal custody of their son. She was also granted a restraining order that expired on June 4.

India Love also cleared the air about her relationship with DDG just last month, during a stream with Adin Ross. At the time, she discussed the prospect of going on a date with the latter, and when Ross asked her if she was interested in him, she clarified:

"He's just my friend."

Her remarks came on the heels of a video that went viral, where she could be seen grinding on DDG at a pool party. The video raked in thousands of views, fueled speculations surrounding them, and also incited outrage online. However, Love was quick to dispel the hatred:

"I don't let it shake me up because they hated Jesus for one," she shot back, per Hot New Hip Hop. "For two, they gon' hate whether I do all the best sh*t in the world-- y'all still going to find something negative to say."
