Astronomer CEO Andy Byron reportedly cursed in anger after being caught in an alleged affair with company's HR chief at Colplay's concert

Tech CEO Andy Byron reportedly hurled profanity upon being caught live on camera cozying up with his company's HR chief Kristin Cabot during a Coldplay concert.

In videos that are now going viral, Astronomer CEO Byron was spotted with his arms wrapped around Cabot during the concert on Wednesday, prompting the internet to speculate that they were having an affair.

According to The New York Post, upon seeing himself on the big screen and realizing he'd been caught, he ducked down and said:

“F**ing hell, it’s me.” Cabot, who'd turned her back to the camera, chimed in as well, : “This is awkward."

Chris Martin, the foreman and lead singer of the band, quipped,

“Oh, what?” He went on, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

Andy Byron's wife and mother of his two children, Megan Kerrigan Byron, has since dropped her married name from her Facebook account. She has also taken down all family photos, as well as her Instagram account.

Acording to the New York Post, Cabot was also married, though she divorced Kenneth Thornby in 2018, and their split was finalized in 2022. As of this writing, it is unclear if she ever re married, though she and her ex reportedly share at least one child together.

Live Mint has reported that several of Byron's employees are thrilled to learn that the scandal has come to light, with company groupchats reportedly bursting with gossip and drama, a former employee has said. Per the outlet, Byron was known around the office for being pushy, sales-driven, and even “toxic."

“The text groups and chains of former employees are like…everybody’s laughing their a*s off and enjoying the hell out of what happened and him getting exposed,” an employee said, per the New York Post.

Andy Byron has been the CEO of the company since July 2023. According to First Post, Astronomer is a data software company that is reportedly worth over $1.3 billion. Under Byron's leadership, success has been skyrocketing, with a 100 per cent year-on-year growth recorded in a little over a year.

As for his wife Megan, she works for Bancroft School as an educator, though she also serves as the Associate Director of Lower School & The Hope Graham Program Admission, which aids students with learning difficulties related to semantics.

Kristin Cabot, on the other hand, assumed the role of Chief People Officer at Astronomer in November 2024. She previously worked for ObserveIT, Neo4j, and Proofpoint.


As of this writing, neither Andy Byron, nor his wife, nor alleged mistress have commented on the situation. Astronomer has yet to issue a statement.
