Tanya had previously spoken to the news outlet about six painful IVF trials, which had not succeeded and their faint hopes of conception. In March 2024, she had told the news outlet that she acknowledged her and the doctor's efforts, but the process had been "eating" her "alive." For over seven years, she had sustained "infertility sadness" due to "stage 4 endometriosis", as revealed by the news outlet. The latest news comes after her recent weight loss during her journey.

Tanya had talked about her weight loss in a recent podcast, Something To Talk About, by Stellar magazine. She acknowledged that her weight loss had piqued curiosity among her followers and explained,
“People are really curious about it. I lost a lot of weight, because I needed to, and I needed to quite quickly, because I’ve been doing IVF since I was 34 and now I’m 39."
She added that she had gained approximately 50 kilos due to "work", "eating badly", and stress. She continued,
I gained a lot of weight in the media, and then I was like, can we just not talk about my body? Can I just be a creative being who isn’t their body?”
In a joint post, Tanya Hennesy announced her pregnancy while appearing on the cover of Body and Soul magazine. Appearing in an off-shoulder blue gown, Tanya looks her happiest. According to the magazine, Tanya details:
