On December 12, Matt Walsh urged Candace Owens to stop attacking Erika Kirk in his latest podcast. Candace has questioned Charlie Kirk's group, TPUSA, since his assassination. Owens recently talked about Erika Kirk on her podcast, following her Fox News and CBS News interviews.In his latest podcast, Matt Walsh addressed conspiracy theories revolving around Charlie Kirk’s murder. He said that even though Candace is her good friend, he strongly disagrees with her conspiracy theories about Kirk’s assassination:“Candace Owens has been by far the most prominent person to push alternative theories of the case. Candace has been my friend for many years now. But I STRONGLY disagree with her theories about this case and I’ve told her that in our private conversations.”Matt Walsh also talked about how well Erika Kirk has been handling the situation since her husband’s death.:“She's an exceptional person in an extraordinary situation, handling it with remarkable poise and dignity. That is a virtue, and virtue is a strange thing in our day."Towards the end of the episode, Walsh appealed to Candace Owens over attacks on Erika Kirk. He showcased his support for Charlie Kirk’s widow, considering it a duty towards his friend’s wife. Matt Walsh said:“And even if she were not an impressive person, she would still be a grieving widow. She would still be my friend's wife. And I would still feel duty bound to support her as I have over these past three months in ways both public and not. So what I am asking everybody, including Candace, is to please leave this woman alone.”He continued:“Let her grieve. Let her pick up the pieces of her shattered life in whatever way she sees fit. She deserves that grace and we owe it to her. Not because of any specific debt, not because we have no right to question her. Of course, we do have the right.”Matt Walsh lastly called on Candace Owens to be charitable and kind towards Erika Kirk:“But we have a moral obligation as children of our heavenly father to be charitable and kind towards suffering widows.”Candace Owens claimed that Erika Kirk’s interview questions were pre-submittedThe political commentator claimed that Erika Kirk’s interview with CBS News was pre-recorded with pre-submitted questions on her December 11 podcast. Owens said:“I'm going to also let you know they prerecorded this. Obviously, I told you this yesterday uh from about 11:00 to 400 p.m. I have sources just everywhere. CBS News, the people that were in the audience I showed you were emailing me and they had to do multiple takes because Barry wanted to read a prompter. These questions were presubmitted. Okay.”Further, she pointed out how Erika Kirk asked Candace to stop during her CBS interview. In response, Candace stated that she would simply fulfill Erika's request if she were more transparent regarding the lies the former had told:“So Erica would like me to stop lying and I would like to honor that. Okay. I can only honor that if Erica is more explicit in terms of what I have lied about. What did I lie about? It's it's just incredible. There's there have this opportunity. the questions have been before. You could just start like going through them. Maybe they will. By the way, it's coming out on Saturday. Maybe I've made a mistake somewhere and I'm I'm hap I want to correct that, right? I'm not interested. My goal is not to tell lies.”Since Charlie's passing, Candace Owens has raised eyebrows regarding TPUSA.
