It seems like U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene was supposed to sit for an interview with Piers Morgan. However, it must have been cancelled because Morgan took to his X on November 18 and wrote:
“Why did you just cancel our interview at the last minute @mtgreenee?”
Social media users reacted to his post with one user writing:
“Because CNN was a safer interview.”
In similar lines, a netizen commented:
“she heard a slot opened up on CNN.”
A third social media user shared:
“She'll interview with cnn but won't interview with piers? She's picked her side . Marjorie traitor greene.”
An X user asked if Morgan wanted to write it privately to Marjorie Taylor Greene, saying:
“Did you mean to write this privately, Piers? You know, in line with basic etiquette?”
Another user speculated:
“It might have something to do with the fact the president of the US is engaging her in a media firestorm and she’s receiving all kinds of threats as a result. Just speculating though, no way to know really.”
Someone suggested that Piers Morgan should ask Marjorie Taylor Greene about the issue, commenting:
“What don’t you ask her privately instead of trying to get clicks from it? She had a lot going on.”
A netizen joked:
“She was putting up her Christmas tree. True story. I don’t make things up.”
Marjorie Taylor Greene talks about Trump in a recent interview
President Trump and Marjorie Taylor Greene have recently been at odds over the Epstein files. She was reportedly upset over how Trump had handled the situation. During the fallout, Trump called her a traitor.
When Greene appeared on CNN for an interview, she addressed the situation, saying:
“He called me a traitor, and that is so extremely wrong, and those are the types of words used that can radicalize people against me and put my life in danger.”
She also said that she was with Trump when no one else was. She campaigned across the country and even spent her own money to get him elected. Greene said:
“His remarks, of course, have been hurtful. However, I have something in my heart that I think is incredibly important for our country, and that is to end the toxic fighting and politics.”
In one of his Truth Social posts, Trump wrote:
“I am withdrawing my support and Endorsement of “Congresswoman” Marjorie Taylor Greene, of the Great State of Georgia.”
He said that despite his efforts to resolve various issues, Greene did nothing but complain. According to the President, Greene told people that Trump did not call her back, and that made her upset. The post continued:
“She has told many people that she is upset that I don’t return her phone calls anymore, but with 219 Congressmen/women, 53 U.S. Senators, 24 Cabinet Members, almost 200 Countries, and an otherwise normal life to lead, I can’t take a ranting L*natic’s call every day.”
Trump complained about Marjorie Taylor Greene and said many conservative people in her Georgia district were tired of how she behaved. He said if the right person decided to run against her, he would fully support them. He also said she was acting more like someone from the opposite political side and even went on a show he believed did not like Republicans.
