Kevin Federline, who was previously married to Britney Spears and shares two children with her, has revealed an alleged incident involving her and their sons, while they were sleeping. According to People Magazine, Federline, who is set to release his memoir You Thought You Knew later this month, details how Britney Spears would stand at the doorway of their sons' bedroom, watching them sleep while holding a knife.

According to People Magazine, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were married for three years until their divorce in 2007. Federline, who was a backup dancer for Justin Timberlake, met the "Baby One More Time" singer in 2004 while at a club in LA. The couple soon started dating and tied the knot a few months later in September.

They welcomed their first child, Sean Preston, on September 14, 2005, and their second child, Jayden James, on September 12, 2006. Just two months after the birth of their second child, Britney Spears filed for divorce in November 2006, citing incorrigible differences. The former couple went through a highly contested divorce proceeding. Both parties initially had joint custody of their children, though the arrangement has gone through several changes over the years.

More about Kevin Federline's account of how Britney Spears allegedly stood with a knife in her hand while watching her son's sleep

In his new memoir, You Thought You Knew, Kevin Federline describes a particular incident involving Britney Spears and their two sons. In an excerpt, obtained by The New York Times, the DJ writes that this alleged incident happened more than once. The passage reads:

"They would awaken sometimes at night to find her standing silently in the doorway, watching them sleep — ’Oh, you’re awake?’ — with a knife in her hand. Then she’d turn around and pad off without explanation.”

In another part of the memoir, Federline claims that the "Oops I Did It Again" singer is now heading towards what he calls "an irreversible situation." He writes:

"It’s become impossible to pretend everything’s OK. From where I sit, the clock is ticking, and we’re getting close to the 11th hour. Something bad is going to happen if things don’t change, and my biggest fear is that our sons will be left holding the pieces.”

Britney Spears has not directly commented on the allgegations, but her representative released a statement to People Magazine, saying:

"With news from Kevin’s book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin. All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James and their well-being during this sensationalism. She detailed her journey in her memoir [The Woman in Me].”

Kevin Federline's new book You Thought You Knew is set to released next week on Tuesday, October 21.
