Britney Spears shares sarcastic Christmas post about family followed by a series of similar posts about being "not perfect"

Britney Spears' drama with her family is not new to the public. After her meltdown in 2008, her father, Jamie Spears, arranged for a conservatorship over her. This arrangement continued for 13 years till Spears was free in 2021. Now, Spears has an extremely complicated relationship with her parents. She is estranged from her father and communicates with her mother from time to time.

According to sources who spoke to US Weekly, they revealed that Britney Spears' relationship with her father is "nonexistent." They added:

"There's zero communication on either side, and that's how she likes it."

As for her relationship with her mother, the sources shared:

"Their relationship is very fragile... [Lynne] reaches out to Britney for the most part. They talk and text every few weeks. [There are] no plans for [her] mom to visit anytime soon."

In a recent Instagram post, Britney Spears shared a photo of a Christmas tree with a sarcastic caption. She wrote:

"Merry late Christmas to my beautiful family who have never disrespected me, harmed me, ever done anything completely unacceptable or caused unbelievable trauma, the kind you can't fix … to my dear sweet innocent family … so so sorry I was busy this Christmas but I will definitely show up and surprise you soon … I can't wait …. hello, beautiful Ivy … I just want to hold you, my love … Godspeed, friends."

Britney Spears follows up with a few introspective posts on Instagram

After the late, but sarcastic Christmas post directed at her family members, Britney Spears shared three more posts (at the time of writing). She posted a clip of herself dancing to classical music in a white and red bikini. She captioned the video:

"I know I'm not perfect … I need to lose weight and my hair needs to be colored, I was at the beach for 2 hours !!! I just got back from this beautiful place !!! I think I created another planet there … awwwwe, so cute and special !!! Ps … I finally pulled out my BAMBAM baby gun, remember the baby from The Flintstones ???!!! 🤭🤭🤭😳😳😳"

While her caption is confusing without context, Spears has never shied away from writing lengthy captions that only make sense to her.

The second post is also a dancing video, following up on the first one. She wrote:

"I know … I didn't feel like editing because I did 6 different versions …. bored as f**k …. I’m posting the worst version. 😳😳😳 Have you guys seen the movie 'Trash' ??? … Such a beautiful title … RIGHT MURICA … 🤭🤭🤭🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️😂😂😂 … The most beautiful things I have found have been in the trash. Am I saying I'm beautiful, readers ??? Why, no !!! I believe we're all the same, I'm not better than anyone nor are you better than me !!!"

Britney Spears continued to write:

"We are just people on a journey living to proceed and protect our hearts … Men say “say less” … we need to teach our generation to stop being so damn cool and express SOMETHING for their hearts, whether good or bad !!!"

Spears concluded by writing:

"PS … I am not perfect, nor will I ever be PSS … I know practice what you teach … sorry I cheated and threw it away … not what you say what you do … Others have no idea what something is to me and they never will …"

The third post is also a dancing video, but Britney was wearing a silver dress with sequins/crystals and black heels. She captioned the post:

"If men don’t make you feel beautiful, do it for yourself for f**ks sake."

Britney Spears continues to have a strained and distant relationship with her family, especially her father. Her sarcastic Christmas post reflects the pain and trauma she still feels from the past. Her latest Instagram posts are an expression of her emotions openly and focus on self-expression and healing.
