BTS' Taehyung’s fan and costume designer Elena pens heartfelt note after meeting him at Vogue World event

On October 27, costume designer Elena shared a post on her Instagram account, @miganele, sharing pictures of an interaction with BTS' Taehyung at a Vogue World event. The designer wrote a long heartfelt post sharing how she has been a big fan of Taehyung since she was 15-years old.

“Tonight is definitely a night that 15-year-old Elena would never have dreamed of. Back in 2013, when BTS debuted, I saw them perform at the Wooljin Festival and immediately became a fan. They were such new artists, and since that year was all about EXO’s Growl, I ended up being the only BTS fan in my entire school. But because of that, I had so many opportunities to see them up close, especially at fansign events.”

She revealed that she had attended many fan events to meet BTS' Taehyung. Elena even disclosed that she spoke about her nickname to V in 2014. She further shared that how the idol asked her to comment on fan websites and that he would reply to her. Following this, Elena kept writing on fan sites regularly until one day she finally received a response from BTS' Taehyung.

“So I started writing to him regularly on their Daum Café fan page. One day, when I woke up, my KakaoTalk messenger had over 100 notifications. He had actually taken a screenshot of my “letter” and replied to it!” Elena wrote.

In her lengthy caption, Elena also stated that she was the one to recommend Adele’s Someone Like You to Kim Taehyung when he asked his fans for some winter song suggestions.

“I had written that I was the one who recommended Someone Like You by Adele, since he had asked for winter song recommendations on Twitter. A few minutes later, he tweeted that he was listening to Someone Like You. So I wrote in the letter saying, “That was me!” and he replied, “I think I saw that Twitter mention. I really like the song.” I was on cloud nine”

Later, BTS' Taehyung even released a cover of Adele’s Someone Like You on his birthday, adding that it was a fan’s recommendation. Elena expressed that such recognition from the K-pop idol was one of the best things that ever happened to her as a high school girl.

Elena ended her note saying that it was special for her to meet Taehyung once again after 11 years.

BTS' Taehyung was the first K-pop idol to attend Vogue World event

On October 26, V made history as the first K-pop icon to mark his attendance of Vogue World: Hollywood following Anna Wintour’s special invite in July this year. The ex-chief editor of Vogue invited Taehyung to the prestigious event during their encounter at Celine Printemps show.

For the event, the Winter Ahead idol sported an all gray look with long coat on top of custom JayBaek Couture gray suit. He wore black shoes, hat, and a Cartier watch.
