Cassie Ventura is facing new legal trouble after being accused of avoiding service in a lawsuit filed by a man named Clayton Howard.

Howard claims Cassie and her former partner, music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, forced him to take part in s*xual acts during their relationship. According to court documents filed in Los Angeles, Howard claimed that Cassie had been hiding her location and using her legal team to block attempts to deliver.

The case adds another layer to the ongoing legal issues surrounding Diddy, who was convicted recently on federal charges related to transporting individuals for prostitution. Cassie, who settled a separate civil case against Diddy in 2023 for $20 million, is now being accused of avoiding accountability in Howard’s lawsuit.

Howard’s court filings claim that Cassie’s attorney, Douglas Wigdor, has refused to accept the legal papers on her behalf. Howard claimed that he spent months trying to find Cassie, hiring a private investigator and multiple process servers, but with no success.

Clayton Howard alleges that Cassie and Combs hired him for s*x parties that took place during their relationship. He claims that he was coerced into participating in se*ual acts and filmed without his consent. According to the lawsuit, Cassie allegedly directed these acts while Diddy observed but rarely took part directly.

Howard’s filing describes disturbing details of his experiences.

He says, “They would lie to me and tell me I was coming for 24 hours and they would basically keep me by keeping my phone in my clothes for days, not allowing me to leave.”

He also alleges that Cassie knowingly transmitted an STD to him and later got pregnant before secretly having an abortion.

Howard claims he was “victimized” and manipulated by both Cassie and Diddy. He explained in an interview with The Art of Dialogue that he would never have agreed to unprotected s*x had he known about Cassie’s other relationships.

He said, “I would have never had unprotected s*x with this girl if I realized that she was sleeping with half of the Lakers unprotected.”

In his motion, Howard says Cassie has gone to “great lengths” to stay hidden. He argues that she is avoiding service of process to delay or prevent the lawsuit from moving forward. Howard’s team searched property records, DMV databases, and visited multiple addresses in Connecticut, but all attempts to locate her failed.

Howard also accuses Cassie’s attorney, Douglas Wigdor, of refusing to cooperate. He claims to have emailed Wigdor’s office three times without receiving a response.

According to the court filing, “Cassie Ventura has used substantial resources to conceal her whereabouts.”

The filing further states that Wigdor “is not authorized” to receive legal papers in this case, which has further complicated the process.

Howard is now requesting permission from the court to use an alternative method of service. He argues that Cassie’s legal team’s public appearances prove they still represent her. As part of his motion, Howard included a list of media interviews and statements made by Wigdor and co-counsel Meredith Firetog since June 2025.
