Singer D4vd is “likely” to be indicted in connection with the slaying of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. TMZ has reported that the singer may face potential charges in relation to the case of the late teenager, whose remains were found in a Tesla in an impound lot back in September. The electric car was registered under the singer's name, and the body had been decaying for days, several outlets have reported. The outlet further cited sources close to the matter who said “the grand jury that’s hearing the case will be asked to hand down an indictment. Multiple sources tell TMZ that authorities, including prosecutor Beth Silverman, believe D4vd was involved in the death of [Rivas Hernandez]." As of this writing, it is unclear when the indictment could be expected. A spokesperson for the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that, as of Monday, December 29, a case had not yet been filed. A grand jury began hearing testimonies and evidence about the case in November. Everything we know about the circumstances surrounding Celeste Hernandez's death and D4vd's alleged connection: D4vd, legally known as David Anthony Burke, was on a tour when Celeste Hernandez's body was discovered. At the time, several outlets reported that he was fully cooperating with authorities on the investigation. However, TMZ has since reported that he has stopped cooperating and is being considered as a suspect. Robert Morgenroth, the general manager of the Mogul Vision record label, took to the stand earlier today to testify about Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Beth Silverman, who questioned him about not calling authorities when he learned of Hernandez's remains being found. Describing her as “very pushy," he said: “I said I feel like I didn’t have the responsibility to do that, and just wanted to continue with the tour.” Just last month, TMZ reported that the investigators had not yet determined the circumstances involving Hernandez's murder as the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office had yet to rule on her cause of death. She was first reported to be missing in April 2024, having been 13 years old at the time. She remained missing until her remains were found. As for D4vd's car, it was reportedly abandoned in August, though it was ticketed for violating parking laws in September. It was impounded shortly after, around which time a foul odor was reported from the car. Authorities were called, leading to the discovery. Stay tuned to SoapCentral for more.
