Did Kai Cenat allegedly cause tension between girlfriend Gigi and her mom? Drama unfolds after her emotional post

Streamer Kai Cenat is being accused of allegedly causing a rift between his girlfriend Gigi, and her mother.

Kai Cenat's girlfriend mother, Ashlee Monroe, has shared on social media that the streamer is allegedly responsible for causing a problem between them, driving a wedge between mother and daughter.

In her emotional post, Ashlee shared how Cenat is essentially manipulating Gigi and telling her that hanging out with her mother would be damaging to their reputation.

While crying, she said, "Seeing that video broke me... To say that you went through life alone, feeling alone, that you didn't feel love, is crazy! I was there... haven't missed anything in that kid's life... I have told Gabrielle, 'No matter what, baby, I love you... You're not gonna go through this life without me.'"

She further stated allegations against Kai Cenat, "Gabrielle looked at me and said, 'I think we need to keep our relationship off the internet...' Then she follows up with, 'Kai said...' Oh yeah, Mr. Kai Cenat told my daughter that he did his research on me... and if she hung out with me, her reputation would be ruined."

Ashlee further added, "Ever since this has been going on, I don't recognize her. Kai Cenat... All you do is sit down with women of different reputations... all you do is sit down with rappers of different reputations. You never thought to sit down over a glass of water with me?"

This response comes after Gigi once spoke in a YouTube video in 2024, saying that she didn't receive any warmth and love from her mother.

Gabrielle said, "If you been knowin' me since I was a kid, you'll know that I was a very spoiled kid. I had everything... What I was lacking growing up was the feeling of true love... I just wanted somebody that I could open up to."

Kai Cenat's girlfriend responds

Just like her mother, Gigi did not hold back and shared her own response on her Instagram Stories, detailing the alleged abuse she faced living with Monroe.

She started, "I hate that I have to bring my self to play this internet game because the woman I call my 'mother' is having a mental breakdown, I've never invalidated her feelings but she never taken mine into consideration even after all the talks we have had, me saying I wanted a emotional connection as a child is something I've BEEN telling her since I was a child, to get on this app and bad mouth me and show your true colors then realize you didn't get the response you wanted so you make a video crying now looking for sympathy?"

Gigi candidly shared her varied struggles growing up and the way she had made her own path in life, without the help of her mother.

"This lady has said hurtful things to me forever and just when I thought being grown and setting boundaries was my escape she still finds a way to effect me, I still won't get on here and bash her but the responsibilities I've had has always been beyond my means I was even told they were my obligation still to this day when she calls me for help. I never tell her no, she told me she thinks we never had a good relationship cause I don't look like her."

Not only that, she also shared how she had to move out at the age of 17 and was even kicked out of the house, over the smallest of issues.

She boldly concluded:

"I'm no longer allowing anyone even family to play with my character or twist my story. I've been through a lot and I've forgiven probably more then I should have, we all have our own story's all I want is peace and to move forward without the constant cycle of hurt. I'm gonna continue to pray for her but Please stop playing with me publicly. Enough is enough."

Kai Cenat and his girlfriend reportedly started dating in December 2024, and were spotted together a few times, including at the NBA finals game 2.
