It also includes shaping the final sound of her productions.

The artist, who initially broke out as a solo artist, has achieved nine Hot 100 No. 1 hits as a solo artist. Before Beyoncé transitioned into a solo career, she was already helping shape her band Destiny’s Child’s sound away from the mic. In 2000, she earned her first Hot 100 No. 1 as a producer with the group’s track Independent Women Part I, followed by Bootylicious in 2001.

Beyoncé’s placement on the list is notable considering that she is the only woman in the top 10 producers list.
