French Montana is reportedly engaged to the daughter of a Dubai billionaire ruler, Sheikha Mahra.
Per The New York Post, the Moroccan-American rapper asked the Sheikha to marry him during Paris Fashion Week in June. The news comes a year after the 31-year-old, legally known as Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, announced her divorce from her husband, whom she said at the time was cheating on her.
"Dear Husband, as you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce," the princess penned on Instagram at the time. "I divorce you, I divorce you, and I Divorce You. Take Care. Your ex-wife."
Complex has reported that Mahra, who is the daughter of United Arab Emirates Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, was previously married to Sheikh Mana, an Emirati businessman and royal. The pair share a daughter, who was born in May last year.
The BBC has reported that she was invoking the Islamic law called "triple talaq" that allows Muslim men to divorce their wives by simply saying it three times. While Mahra is not legally entitled to divorce her husband in this way, she did allude to the dissolution of her marriage by the following month. At the time, she shared a selfie of herself and her daughter, and the caption read:
"Just the two of us."
Everything we know about French Montana and Sheikha Mahra's engagement:
As for French Montana, legally known as Karim Kharbouch, he proposed after strutting down the runway as a model for the “3.Paradis Ready to Wear Spring/Summer 2026” show at the time. As of this writing, however, it remains unclear just when they plan on tying the knot.
Per the outlet, the pair were seen hanging out at Paris Fashion Week last month, and Mahra even gave the rapper a tour of Dubai. The trip reportedly took place around the same time they struck up a romance, and per E! News, Mahra shared several photos of their trip to the UAE city online at the time.
French Montana himself was previously married to Nadeen Kharbouch, a designer cum entrepreneur, from 2007 to 2014. They share a son named Kruz Kharbouch, 16.
He was also previously linked to Khloe Kardashian, Iggy Azalea, and Rubi Rose. While he has yet to address his engagement head-on, he did speak with Elle back in 2016 about what it feels like to date after a divorce:
"It's real emotional, it's a sensitive space for them," French Montana said at the time. "It's real s--t. But sometimes you have to sacrifice for what you want."
