MAGA is slamming South Park for allegedly playing a role in the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Comedy Central has already pulled the episode from its scheduled repeats, and it is not expected to stream in the near future. However, conservatives have been slamming the show for mocking the late conservative commentator.
In episode two of season 27, “Got a Nut," Eric Cartman portrayed a right-wing podcaster who used some of Kirk's most memorable phrases, including,
“Who wants to debate the master debater?”
Cartman also replicated Kirk's hairstyle and even attended a ceremony where he handed out “The Charlie Kirk Award for Young Master Debaters.”

As reported by the outlet, shortly after the episode aired last week, Charlie Kirk took to TikTok to address it. He called it “hilarious” and noted “South Park gets this right.” Kirk, who is known for having founded Turning Point USA, said:
“We have a good spirit about being made fun of. This is all a win. We as conservatives have thick skin, not thin skin, and you can make fun of us and it doesn’t matter.”
Charlie Kirk was murdered yesterday, September 10, during an event at Utah Valley University. He was serving as host at the time when, mid-afternoon, someone opened fire on him in front of his wife and two kids.
Deadline has reported that Paramount has yet to issue a statement concerning the episode, and while Comedy Central will no longer play its reruns, the episode can still be found on Paramount+. When the episode aired last month, Kirk reportedly spoke to Fox News about the same, referring to it as a “badge of honor.”
“We as conservatives should be able to take a joke, we shouldn’t take ourselves so seriously – that’s something that the left has always done.”
As reported by The Independent, Johnny MAGA, a popular social media account with a quarter of a million followers, said:
“South Park attacking Charlie Kirk’s college campus events and mocking his Christian faith just a few weeks ago."
Per the New York Post, an employee from Turning Point USA also issued a statement on Telegram:
“Comedy has consequences. Charlie was targeted in the culture before he was targeted in real life."
As for President Trump, who broke the news that his confidant had died, he reportedly blamed the “radical left” for Kirk’s death. As of this writing, the identity of the shooter remains unclear. In his address on Wednesday, he said:
“For years those on the radical left have compared wonderful Americans like Charlie to Nazis and the world’s worst mass murderers and criminals. This kind of rhetoric is directly responsible for the terrorism that we’re seeing in our country today and it must stop right now. My administration will find each and every one of those who contributed to this atrocity, and to other political violence, including the organizations that fund it and support it, as well as those who go after our judges, law enforcement officials and everyone else who brings order to our country.”
