Diddy's lawyer is opposing the claims that the rapper bombed Kid Cudi's car in response to learning he was dating his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.

Mark Agnifilo, the mogul's defense attorney, recounted the latter's former employee's allegations that Combs kidnapped her back in December 2011. Capricorn Clark testified that she was forcibly taken to Kid Cudi's home at the time, where Combs allegedly rifled through the latter's house and set his car on fire.

Agnifilo said Clark was likely “so honored” that Combs had come to her house for the first time.

"If he asked her to take a trip to the moon, she’d go, and he knows that. He doesn’t need a gun,” he said, according to CNN.

He also tried to cast doubt on the credibility of her testimony as he accused her of lying about Diddy showing up at her place with a gun in his hand so that it didn't seem like she was helping him.

“She doesn’t want to give the impression that she’s like part of this," he claimed. He also said that the incident depicts Combs as a “fighter” who would opt for a “good old fashioned fist fight” with Kid Cudi, instead of bombing his car. “There is no evidence that he had anything to do with the Porsche,” Agnifilo said. “He’s gonna fight him. He’s not gonna blow up his car,” he added, claiming Diddy wouldn't have taken the "cowards way out."

Kid Cudi previously took to the stand to testify against Diddy, as he accused him of setting his Porsche on fire with a Molotov cocktail back in January 2012. He said the mogul was acting out upon learning that he was dating Cassie Ventura, another alleged victim, adding that his car was damaged beyond repair.

However, Agnifilio claimed that the search into the incident was “a terrible investigation,” claiming that the investigator had no clue what happened to the fingerprints recovered from the site. He also dismissed an investigator's testimony that partial DNA had been recovered from the crime scene that indicated a female was present.

As of this writing, Mark Agnifilio delivered the closing arguments in New York, giving the prosecutors one last chance to present their rebuttal. He described the case as a "trial of lifestyle" and accused prosecutors of exaggerating their accusations.

He also acknowledged that the defense "owns" reports that Combs assaulted Ventura. However, he said she is a “gangster” who “played” his client before pointing out that she used a burner phone to get in touch with Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi back in 2011.

As of this writing, the jury has been dismissed for a break, live feeds from several outlets have reported. The case awaits a verdict.
