On June 30, 2025, the selected jury of 12 for Diddy's federal trial met in court to start deliberations. The panel consisted of eight men and four women who remained anonymous throughout the trial. At the end of the day, it has been revealed that the jury has not reached a verdict yet. The jury will continue their deliberations on July 1, 2025, which is on Tuesday.
On Monday, the jury started their deliberations at 11:30 a.m. ET, after they had gone through the legal instructions with Judge Subramanian for two hours. Around 12:30 p.m. ET, a foreperson sent a note from the jury stating that one of the individuals, who identified as a male scientist, found it difficult to follow the instructions given to him.
The note was brought forth by Judge Subramanian in front of the prosecution and the defense. Around 2:00 p.m., a note was sent back to the jury, and it was in favor of the prosecution's proposal. The note said:
"I received your note. I remind every juror of their duty to deliberate and obligation to follow my instruction on the law," additionally stating that no details from the deliberations should be mentioned in case they had to send future notes.
The Associated Press mentioned that there are five alternate jurors on standby in case any of the current jurors have to be replaced. This is not the first time a juror has been replaced for Diddy's sex trafficking trial.
Inside the note: What jurors wrote to the judge in the Diddy sex trafficking case
According to CNN, the note that was sent out by the jury on the first day of deliberations contained a question to clarify a certain act. The note presented Judge Subramanian with a hypothetical situation and questioned if a certain act is considered to be an act of "distributing" drugs.
The note stated that if someone asked for controlled substances and another person fulfilled the request, would the latter be considered as distributing drugs? After the question was posed, Judge Subramanian brought the issue in front of both sides and asked them to give him their responses by 6:00 p.m. on Monday. He wanted to start the second day of deliberations with a definite answer to the jury's question.
Furthermore, the judge has dismissed the trial for the day and will continue on Tuesday.
Diddy's sex trafficking trial has been going on for months, and so far, 34 witnesses have been called to the stand to testify against Diddy and the crimes he has been charged with.
