In a recent appearance on Newsmax on August 1, host Rob Finnerty asked Trump if he would pardon the rapper following his s*x trafficking trial. In a clip of the interview shared by Spencer Hakimian, Trump can be seen smiling and responding,

"Well, he was essentially, I guess, sort of half innocent."

Donald Trump has reportedly shared his thoughts about whether he would pardon Sean Diddy Combs. This follows after Diddy was acquitted of s*x trafficking charges but would be sentenced for other charges, which could carry prison time for approximately 10 years, per The New York Times.

While describing him as "half-innocent", Trump noted that Diddy was a "nice guy" and referred to him as a friend. However, he disclosed that when the former ran for "office",

"He was very hostile."

Interviewer Rob noted that he made some negative statements during the campaign. He noted that these "terrible statements" would cloud his judgment. When asked again about Combs' pardoning and if it would be a "NO?". Trump responded,

"I would say so."
