Tyler Robinson — the accused Charlie Kirk assailant — reportedly once bragged about his long-range shooting abilities, according to his previous co-worker.
In an exclusive interview with The New York Post on Saturday, September 13, the former colleague, who asked to remain anonymous, stated that Tyler Robinson rarely spoke when they worked together at a Washington County-based company, High Output Electric, in St. George, Utah, in 2023.
At the time, they were contracted by Wilde Electric to complete the wiring for the new apartments over an eight-month duration, per the individual who provided evidence on the project.

The former co-worker revealed:
“Right after Black Friday, I had just got done working and I was showing my supervisor the new pistol I bought."
He added:
“We were out by the trucks, and then Tyler and another guy came over and we were all talking about what kinds of guns we were gonna get or had bought, and they started talking about their longest shots. Tyler said he made a 450 yard shot."
Ex-coworker recalls Tyler Robinson’s tense demeanor: “Super hard clenched fists”
Other former co-workers of Tyler Robinson reacted to the news of him fatally shooting conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was speaking to a crowd of 3,000 people under a pop-up tent at Utah University.
The co-worker said:
“I was shocked when I heard the news yesterday — I was like, ‘It can’t be that Tyler’ — so I called my old coworker at Wilde Electric and I was like, ‘Hey, did Tyler show up to work today?’ He was like, no, he was supposed to but maybe he’s at a different site."

He went on, adding that he also tried reaching Tyler Robinson via phone call, but his attempts went straight to voicemail. Still, he claimed that he didn't expect him to do something like it.
“When I heard that the suspect was a young guy from St. George, there were hundreds of other people that I thought would be capable of it before him."
Utah Governor Spencer Cox referred to the murder as a deliberate “political assassination,” adding that Robinson “was a person who was deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology.”
However, Tyler Robinson's former colleague stated that the accused Charlie assassin avoided political discussions. He narrated:
“I remember one time we were talking about [politics] in one of the units, and instead of sitting in the room with us, Tyler went into the back laundry room and sat on a bucket and I think put an earbud in."

He continued, detailing that Tyler Robinson's fists were often squeezed together.
“Tyler walked around with clenched fists all the time – like, super hard clenched fists. I remember making a joke to him one time when he had his fists like that, I was like, ‘Are you angry, Tyler?’ And he was like…’That’s just what I do.’ He was always soft-spoken but his fists were always like that."
High Output Electric owner, Shane Bennett, confirmed to the outlet that Tyler Robinson was employed by the firm until late 2023, although he couldn't remember if "he quit or was let go."
Meanwhile, according to the police's statement to CBS News, the accused is currently in custody at the Utah County Jail with no option for bail, where he is under special observation to assess whether he poses a risk to himself or to others.
