The family of Britney Spears is said to be concerned about her following the emergence of new videos depicting her engaging in unsafe driving in California. Page Six obtained the video showing Spears going out of control on the road following a dinner in Thousand Oaks last Wednesday night. The author claims her family is in crisis negotiations on what to do to assist her.

Page Six reported that the family of Spears is concerned that she is losing control just the way she used to behave before breaking down in public in 2007. The scenario has resulted in the family talking privately among themselves about whether somebody should intervene and get her back on track. Others have even gone to the extent of returning her to a state of conservatorship.

In 2021, the 13-year conservatorship of the pop star, which was partially spearheaded by her father Jamie Spears, was terminated upon Britney Spears being free of it by the demands of the #FreeBritney movement. Spears has since led an independent life, although her family is now wondering how to take care of her without interfering with her independence.

Britney Spears' family concerns grow after new video

The footage showed Britney Spears leaving the Red-O restaurant despite others appearing to advise her not to drive. Once behind the wheel of her black BMW convertible, she reportedly made an erratic U-turn with screeching tires and swerved into other lanes. At one point, she crossed the road’s center divider and moved into the bike lane.

A source told Page Six that the singer’s loved ones are “terrified” she is making “bad choices.” They are worried that her recent behavior could put her safety at risk. The insider added that while everyone wants the best for Spears, they feel unsure how to help without facing public criticism.

The report also mentioned that some family members believe a legal arrangement might be necessary again to protect her. However, others fear the backlash that could come with such a decision. Jamie Spears was heavily criticized the last time he took control of her affairs, and many fans viewed the conservatorship as too restrictive.

The new concerns come as Spears faces renewed attention over her ex-husband Kevin Federline’s memoir, You Thought You Knew. In the book, Federline reportedly makes serious claims about Spears, including accusations related to substance use and her behavior when their children were young.

Britney Spears’ spokesperson dismissed the claims, saying that Federline is “profiting off her” now that her child support payments have ended. The statement said that Spears only cares about her sons’ well-being and wants to move on from past issues.

Amid the ongoing drama, Britney Spears also posted on Instagram, claiming she suffered “brain damage” from being controlled during her conservatorship. She wrote that she has moved on from that time and feels thankful to be alive. The post drew attention as fans expressed concern for her mental health and current lifestyle.
