IShowSpeed, who is currently on the second leg of his European tour, was meeting fans when a dock collapsed from the sheer overwhelming number of fans who had gathered there to meet him. According to Dexerto, the incident took place on 15 July, while he was visiting Noblessnee Harbor in Estonia.
IShowSpeed, whose real name is Darren Jason Watkins Jr., rose to fame in 2021, and he soon gained a huge following on Twitch for his unique reactions while playing a game online. He currently boasts 42.2 million subscribers on YouTube, one million followers on Twitch.
More about the incident, as the dock collapses during ShowSpeed's visit
IShowSpeed embarked on his second European tour earlier this month by first visiting Croatia on 7 July. According to Early Game, his current visit to mainly Eastern European countries has been live-streamed on both Twitch and YouTube, allowing fans to have a glimpse of what he is doing while on tour. This is his first time streaming on Twitch in over four years, with his last Twitch stream being in May 2021.
According to EER News, IShowSpeed visited a total of three countries on Tuesday. It was during his visit to Estonia that the terrifying incident took place. IShowSpeed, who has been followed by thousands of fans wherever he has visited, went to an Estonian Sauna and then made his way to Noblessnee Harbor in Tallinn, during this three-hour visit to the country. This is when the middle portion of the floating bridge collapsed into the water, leading many to fall in.
This incident happened due to the excessive number of people who had gathered there to catch a glimpse of the YouTuber, who was seen trying some watersports that had been arranged for him.
Soon after the collapse, the streamer could be immediately seen boarding a jet ski and going over to his fans, making sure that everyone was safely pulled out of the water. He could be heard saying:
"We gotta help them!. Everybody be careful. Everybody good? Y’all good? They broke the bridge, bro!”
According to Early Game, Ishowspeed has a long list of countries he is supposed to visit during this tour. Apart from Croatia and Estonia, he is set to visit Latvia and Lithuania for the next leg of his tour. Earlier this month, on 5 July, he took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce the news of his highly anticipated European tour, saying:
"ITS THAT TIME EUROPE ❗️🇪🇺 LIVE ON YOUTUBE 7/7."
While he was in Estonia, Ishowspeed is reported to have run a race against Robert Griffin III, the former quarterback of the Washington Commanders, which he interestingly won, not once, but twice.
