Yes Theory's fundraising campaign for Reg, a taxi driver burdened by loans, is gaining traction online.

Yes Theory comprises four YouTubers: Ammar, Thomas, Derin, and Matt, who, in 2023, asked a taxi driver how far he would take them for $10,000. As mentioned in the GoFundMe page, over the years, Reg became close to the group, and during that time, he revealed to them that over twenty years ago, he took out a £70,000 loan.

Since then, he managed to repay £90,000, but due to interest, he has yet to pay off £113,000. The fundraising initiative, launched three days ago, has since raised about £112,069 out of the £113,000 goal, with alms coming in from over 4.5k patrons.

Yes Theory's endeavors to help Reg explored as the page nears the end of its fundraising initiative:

The GoFundMe page reads as follows:

"In 2023, we asked a cab driver how far we could get with $10,000. We expected an adventure, but what we found was so much more. His name is Reg. He’s one of the most charismatic, kind-hearted humans we’ve ever met."

It goes on:

"Over the past two years, Reg has become a true friend. And during that time, he shared something deeply personal: twenty years ago, he took out a £70,000 loan. He has already repaid £90,000, but due to predatory interest, he still owes £113,000. It’s been a weight on every part of his life."

It adds:

"We know you all have connected with Reg in the same way we have. It’s easy to tell that he’s an incredible human, and right now - he could use some help to get out of this situation. So today, we launched a new video with Reg - and alongside it, we’ve launched this GoFundMe, with the goal of setting Reg free."

In the new YouTube video, Yes Theory's men surprised Reg, a 71-year-old Indian-born American, with what is titled a "millionaire's vacation," which saw him experience a yacht in Miami, a Ferrari ride in Austin, a barbeque party, some luxurious rides around NYC, and luxurious dining, among other things.

According to its about page:

"Yes Theory began in the summer of 2015 when Ammar, Thomas, Derin and I (Matt) were four strangers in our early 20s who bonded over the idea that life's greatest moments and deepest connections exist outside your comfort zone." It goes on, "We dropped everything we were doing and committed ourselves to this philosophy. Today Yes Theory is a community of millions of people who act on the belief that seeking discomfort is the gateway to a fulfilling life."

The comments section of the GoFundMe page is riddled with positivity and uplifting remarks from patrons hailing from all over the world, with many wishing the best of luck.
