X, formerly known as Twitter, users worldwide are left without access to the social media platform.

The platform is experiencing a major global outage, leading to users not being able to access timelines, post updates, or log in via its website and app. The outage was recorded by a downtime recording platform across multiple regions around the globe.

According to Downdetector data, it was first recorded at 10:55 a.m. EST in regions of India, while Downdetector’s US outage page recorded over 16,000 reports at its peak around the same time.

The reports then started flooding in from North America, Europe, Asia, and parts of the Middle East, with the heat map highlighting the problem in metropolitan areas, further indicating widespread connectivity issues.

In a percentage, most reported issues were with the website at 52%, while 42% were related to the mobile app, and around 6% to server connections, leading to users voicing out their frustrations on other social media platforms.

Though many users who have not been victims of this have shared their comments on X itself, stating how they have remained unaffected.

One user commented:

"I think it’s back up. It’s been a little wonky. Very slow and sometimes hard to load. Anyone else suffering from this?"

Another noted:

"I thought i was trippin’ or my wifi been acting up"

One user bragged, writing:

"POV: IT’S NOT DOWN FOR ME"

While another complained:

"It’s like every now and then 𝕏 is under attack or something"

And netizens shared this sentiment

"Twitter goes down every 5 business days ever since he took over-"

A user stated:

"Up only for me"

While another had a bizarre theory:

"They are plotting against Taylor…"

One person chanted:

"BRING BACK THE OLD TWITTER"

At the time of writing, X/Twitter had not issued an official statement regarding this disruption.
