Conservative commentator Allie Beth Stuckey praised Megyn Kelly for the latter’s support of the FBI. This comes at a time when Stuckey and Candace Owens beefed. On December 13, Megyn Kelly spoke about Charlie Kirk’s murder suspect, Tyler Robinson’s court appearance. As she spoke about the matter, she defended the FBI, saying:

“I am a sane person who understands the law. I also know that the FBI, hello, does not run around updating its investigation and releasing the very latest on what they found. And people who are demanding that the FBI or DOJ do so do not know anything about law enforcement.”

Resharing Megyn Kelly’s video, Allie Beth Stuckey wrote:

“I keep seeing people say - “Why is Candace the only one doing this or asking that? Why isn’t the FBI doing xyz?” And I’ve always wondered - how do we know they’re not? Good to see from an expert that the FBI keeping the public updated is not normal. Perhaps there’s a different and more effective way to ask questions than to make accusations via a podcast series drip campaign.”

As per reports, Candace Owens had been looking into the Charlie Kirk assassination case in her own way. In November 2025, Allie Beth Stuckey commented that people had been making certain claims about the issue without having solid evidence. Owens called Stuckey out on her show and said the comment was directed towards her. Then followed a counter comment from Stuckey, who wrote:

“I wasn’t going to respond to Candace publicly, but I was genuinely hurt by her accusation that I don’t care about who killed Charlie because I expressed concern for the lives of people who have been implicated in her series on CK’s murder.”

Megyn Kelly discusses the modus operandi of the FBI

Meanwhile, during her show, Megyn Kelly said that there were many who had done in-depth reporting on legal cases. She said she also followed the same process, which goes to her time as a trial attorney and Supreme Court correspondent. Speaking about the FBI, she said:

“And let me tell you something, the FBI does not run around updating its information after somebody gets indicted. It doesn't. It would be extraordinary if it were to do so. And the DOJ is extremely tight-lipped normally on its criminal cases. When it's not, it's behaving inappropriately.”

Megyn Kelly went on to say:

“Stop requesting or requiring the FBI or the DOJ to update its evidence for you. You're not the target audience. They're trying to preserve the integrity of this case for when they get it in front of a jury who are the only people who matter. I'm sorry, but their opinion is the only opinion that's going to matter in this case. And they will come to that opinion based on evidence that gets submitted to them that passes the rules of evidence.”

Megyn Kelly said people needed to stop asking the FBI for constant updates. She explained that the FBI did not work that way and that it would be wrong for them to talk publicly about new information unless they were ready to arrest someone.
