Boosie Badazz is best known for his rap career that started from humble beginnings in Louisiana in the 1990s. Boosie would go on to become one of the most prominent figures in Southern hip hop also referred to as the ‘Dirty South’.In the most recent news involving the rapper, Boosie faced one of his most nerve-racking performances to date. He chose to step up and honor the memory of a late fan, 26-year-old Alaicha Johnson. In an interview with TMZ Boosie Badazz addressed his performance when asked what the honor of performing at Alaicha’s funeral meant to him.“Yeah I was honored I aint gonna lie. Yeah I kinda got butterflies before I did it and I don’t get butterflies because I don’t know why.”The rapper went on to add:“You know Im a spiritual person myself but I thought about it and was like you know we rejoicing. You know that’s what she wanted before she passed away, she wanted to always see me in concert and I came there a month before but she was too sick and so she end up passing.”This was a truly heartwarming gesture by Boosie, who also happens to be currently dealing with pressing legal issues at the time of this report.Boosie Badazz - Legal issues, moreBoosie Badazz pled guilty to a federal firearm charge in August 2025. The decision came after the case had been pending and awaiting resolution since the formal charges came down in 2023. At the time of his mea culpa earlier this year, Boosie shared the following with XXL Mag:“I want to get it behind me and get on with my life. A lot of things this case has stopped me from doing, traveling all across the world. So, I just want to get it over with.”Interestingly, Boosie Badazz seems optimistic that an intervention from President Donald Trump might actually be in the works. On receiving a potential pardon in the case from the President, the rapper shared the following with TMZ on November 12:"I'm still working on it. I’m still trying. As you know, my voice is a loud voice. So, I'm still gonna be asking the president for a pardon. Right now, I don't have it. But, I'm confident about my situation and I feel good about my situation."It remains to be seen if Boosie Badazz will manage to fight the charges successfully. For more on this story or other news, check out Soap Central.
