The internet is ridiculing IShowSpeed for his latest feeble attempt: walking over water.
In a new video online, the streamer, known for his chirpy personality and proclivity for mischief, can be seen jumping over two tupperwares of water placed over two superbikes. "Today I'm about to walk on water," he says at the beginning before he jumps over both bikes in one go.
"I just walked on water, can't nobody do that," he says at the end, emphatically.
The video has already begun doing the rounds online, drawing the attention of many. Scores, however, replied with amusement, such as this one user who wrote on X:
"he literally just jumped over em"
The comments didn't end there:
"That’s not walking on water. He dipped his feet/toes in two bowls of water," one user pointed out.
"Bro walked on those bowl… not water," another noted.
"This bro got super powers but I can’t prove it yet," someone else quipped.
"most competitive human alive and now he’s trying to compete with Jesus Christ himself," yet another jokingly suggested.
The comments didn't end there:
"That's Great! I don't even have the sound on and can feel his Joy of accomplishment. Let's all put two bowls of water on the floor (I'm sure he started on the floor) and see if we can walk on water. I'm tired already," someone penned.
"Speed really living life like he’s inside a video game, first barking at strangers, now walking on water. At this point it feels less like content and more like watching a glitch nobody can patch. The funniest part is people act shocked every time when this is exactly why Speed blew up, he does the things everyone else is too normal to even imagine. Side quests, miracles, DLC updates… man’s rewriting the script of what streaming even is," another chimed in.
"Speed is a generational athlete cosplaying as a streamer," one more quipped.
"Actually this one’s easy if u been high school long jump athlete," yet another pointed out.
Here's everything we know about IShowSpeed's goal of making it to the Olympics: Read more
Born Darren Jason Watkins Jr., the 22-year-old made headlines just days ago when he echoed his desire to run the 100m sprint in the Olympics. As reported by Dexerto last week, IShowSpeed enlisted the help of a four-time Olympic medallist, Ato Boldon, in completing his goal.
IShowSpeed previously lost to Noah Lyles, a 100m Olympic champion, but seems to be deadset on making it to the United States' team at the 2028 Olympics track team anyway.
According to Dexerto, in order to make it to the official team, IShowSpeed would also have to participate in trials, which include posting times in sanctioned events, nothing indoors and outdoors. It also includes being a part of the USA Track and Field when the Olympics roll around.
