Young Thug says Gunna owes him an explanation
In the latest episode of Perspektives with Bank podcast, the Best Friend rapper said that Gunna owes him an explanation for betraying him. Discussing his feelings of betrayal, Thug told Big Banks:
“Meaning, Gunna, you my brother. I love you to death, n***a. Why you ain’t gave me an explanation?”
Speaking on his lack of communication, Thug added:
“Even if I don’t want to hear it, you still supposed to be a real n***a and say it. How can you just do what you did to me and then just go live your life? Like ain’t nothing happened?”
He added that Gunna never cared to reach out to him to explain his decision, despite having access to his phone number. He said that his father once placed him in a group text, which gives him direct access to Thug. He added:
“You can’t do no interview in the future saying, ‘I ain’t got his number.’ You overly got my number.”
His words were a mix of his love for his friend and feelings of disappointment as he accepted the Alfred plea deal. It came as a shock to the rapper, who expected loyalty between them as men and brothers. Pouring his heart out to the podcast host, Young Thug said:
“I lost a n**** to betrayal. You signing that one piece of paper could give me a life sentence... You gon' let a piece of paper end all this sh*t?”
Thug further explained that his remarks were about loyalty and not sexuality. Young Thug said during the podcast:
“Once you break a rule from your manhood, once you rat… you broke a man code. I don’t got no problem with gay people.”
Young Thug elaborated in the Perspektives with Bank podcast that he poured a lot into building Gunna’s career. He emphasized that he invested significant time, effort, and resources to help Gunna succeed in the music industry.
Reportedly, Young Thug is facing intense scrutiny following leaked audio clips where he allegedly discusses the YSL RICO trial. In the recordings, the rapper voices frustrations with artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Gucci Mane, Lil Durk, Migos, and Quality Control boss Pierre “P” Thomas.
