Thompson while speaking to Daily Mail on November 26 mentioned that competitors found out about the controversy at around 3. a.m on November 25,"It was coming from an adult entertainment website - let's put it that way. Very explicit pictures and videos of this person, which then obiously put her gender into question."Thompson added that the organizers were "just as horrified" by the allegations and promised to investigate,"I think they gave (Booker) a 24-hour window to get back at them, just to say 'yes', 'no', whatever just to confirm or deny (her sex) and she didn't get back to them."When Booker didn't respond to the organizers, they released a statement stripping Booker of the champion title and causing a "massive puddle effect." Laurence acknowledged Andrea's hard work claiming that she has earlier won big events like the deadlift, the log, and circus dumbbell.Shahlaei added that while he supports all genders, women's group exists for a reason.As per a video uploaded by Jammie Booker on her YouTube channel in September 2017, Booker said,"Everyone is dying to tell their story and I am obviously no exception to that. I'm a 21-year old trans woman with a history of abuse, struggling to stay true to herself while under the rule of her religious parents."Former three-time winner of World's Strongest Woman, Rebecca Roberts also addressed the incident on Instagram by posting a picture which said "Protect Women's Sports." In the caption, she noted that while she has "no hate" towards the transgender community, she cannot "stay silent" about something that "threatens the fairness and future of women's strength sports."
