Wrapped Mapped was released the same day as the traditional version, and it chronicles the data on the top five songs and artists in an assortment of regions across the globe. This year, it included places like Hong Kong, Mexico City, Quebec, and San Francisco. The results for San Francisco were surprisingly very much in line with Spotify’s top songs of the year. Coming in at first place on the list was rapper Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s collaboration, Luther, which was also the most-streamed song in the United States for the year, as per a Spotify release.Birds of a Feather by Billie Eilish took the second spot on the San Francisco list and was incidentally also the second most-streamed song globally in 2025. The most-streamed global release, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ Die With a Smile, placed third. Bad Bunny placed 5th on the list with DtMF and was Spotify’s most widely streamed artist globally for the year.It is noteworthy that it isn’t the platform’s first attempt to integrate geography as a part of Spotify Wrapped. In 2023, the company introduced Sound Town as part of Warpped, which informed listeners which cities their listening habits most closely aligned with. It should be noted that the feature was removed after only a year.
