Holly Ramsay is breaking her silence on her father Gordon Ramsay's shocking cancer diagnosis.
The Hell's Kitchen chef, 58, took to his Instagram to share a string of photos of his face, the left half of which was covered by a bandage, from his cheek to under his ear. He announced that he had just been diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma.
“Grateful and so appreciative for the incredible team at The Skin Associates and their fast reactive work on removing this Basal Cell Carcinoma thank you!” Ramsay wrote in his caption, adding, “Please don’t forget your sunscreen this weekend ❤️ I promise you it’s not a face lift! I’d need a refund…….😜.”
His daughter, Holly, chimed in on the comments section:
“Love you dad ❤️,” she wrote.

Parade has reported that Gordon Ramsay, who has been married to Tana Ramsay, 49, for almost 30 years, is a father of six: Megan, 26, twins Holly and Jack, 24, Matilda “Tilly,” 22, Oscar, 5, and Jesse, who was born late in 2023.
On his post on Instagram, as reported by The Guardian, the charity Cancer Research UK also left a comment that reads as follows:
“Glad to hear you’re doing well, Gordon, and thanks for raising awareness of how important it is to stay safe in the sun. Seek shade, cover up and apply sunscreen regularly and generously.”
Page Six has reported that it is unclear if Gordon Ramsay has had skin cancer in the past. However, he did have a health scare just last year when he got into a horrific biking accident. In June 2024, he took to Instagram once more to share a snapshot of a huge purple bruise on his torso.
Noting that he fell off his bicycle while riding around in Connecticut, he wrote in the caption:
“I’m lucky to be here." He added, “Honestly, you’ve got to wear a helmet. I don’t care how short the journey is.”
He did clarify that he did not sustain any broken bones or other serious injuries. However, he did joke that the aftermath of the accident left him looking like “a purple potato.” Gordon Ramsay then thanked the staffers at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London for treating him:
“I’m thankful for all the doctors, nurses and staff … but most thankful for my helmet that saved my life.”
