Virginia Giuffre, one of the key accusers of Jeffrey Epstein, has died by suicide at the age of 41, her family confirmed in a statement.

She tied the knot with Australian Robert Giuffre in 2002, and since then, they have welcomed three children: two sons, Christian and Noah, and one daughter, Emily. Her death comes days after she took to Instagram for the last time to reveal that she had been in a car accident.

"This year has been the worst start to a new year, but I won’t bore anyone with the details but I think it important to note that when a school bus driver comes at you driving 110km as we were slowing for a turn that no matter what your car is made of it might as well be a tin can. I’ve gone into kidney renal failure, they’ve given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology," she penned in the post, dated March 30.

Virginia Giuffre went on:

"I’m ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time, but you know what they say about wishes. S**T in one hand and wish in the other & I guarantee it’s still going to be s**t at the end of the day. Thank you all for being the wonderful people of the world and for being a great part of my life. Godbless you all xx Virginia"

In a statement to NBC News, Virginia Giuffre's family confirmed her passing:

"It is with utterly broken hearts that we announce that Virginia passed away last night at her farm in Western Australia," the statement read "She lost her life to suicide, after being a lifelong victim of sexual abuse and s*x trafficking. “In the end, the toll of abuse is so heavy that it became unbearable for Virginia to handle its weight."

A week before her last post, Virginia Giuffre took to Instagram to pen a heartfelt statement about her children, expressing her love for them. She claimed they were "being poisoned with lies" as she shared how much she's hurting and misses them.

"Hurt me, abuse me but don’t take my babies. My heart is shattered and every day that passes my sadness only deepens 😔," she penned.

As of early 2025, her kids were reportedly teenagers, with People Magazine placing her daughter at 14. Her family described the children as “the light of her life.” However, further whereabouts about her kids remains scarce at the time of writing.

Recent Instagram posts suggest that Virginia Giuffre may have separated from her husband, though this remains to be confirmed. It is also unclear what happened to the $1.9 million home they purchased in Ocean Reef in Australia.
