The Twitch streamer Nina Lin has been temporarily suspended again after her purported shoplifting during a livestream at a Target store. The incident has sparked renewed concerns about her repeated violations and rising controversy pertaining to her conduct on the platform.According to data from StreamerBans cited on December 2, 2025, Nina Lin has been banned a total of three times since October 25, 2025. The current suspension is her third in just five weeks. Her channel currently shows the usual message when a channel is temporarily unavailable, and each of her bans was for violating either the Community Guidelines or the Terms of Service. Her suspension history includes:Her first ban was on October 25, 2025, when a resurfaced clip popped up showing Nina Lin and fellow streamer Zoe Spencer caressing FaZe Silky’s assistant, Said, without consent during a May 2024 broadcast. Her second ban came just five days later, on October 30, 2025, when her channel was briefly reinstated but banned again after renewed uproar when more clips surfaced showing inappropriate physical contact. Her third ban was today, 2 December 2025, after her alleged shoplifting incident. While Twitch has not declared the durations of any of these suspensions, constant bans like this raise several questions about how many times a streamer can be banned without risking a permanent one. What happened during Nina Lin's livestream? The controversy happened after the streamer had gone to shop at Target and opted to livestream. In scanning her items across the self-checkout counter, she put a carton of butter directly on top of a pack of steak, but only scanned the butter. The steak was never scanned, nor was it registered.Online backlash took no time because, with clips of the incident going viral, fans and other creators immediately called for Twitch to ban her.Soon after this, in a stream, she had addressed the issue, refusing to apologize and rejecting all accusations, saying:“Even if it was the steaks… ain't nobody missing no f***ing money. Calm the f*** down.”She added:“I got these from Target too, guys, and guess how much I paid? Free-99. Get mad, b***h!”Her statement only intensified the backlash. Nina Lin's past controversiesThis was not Lin's first controversy. Only weeks ago, Nina Lin had been the subject of significant backlash owing to sexual assault allegations related to an older footage. In one video dated May 2024, that resurfaced in October 2025, Nina and streamer Zoe Spencer were shown holding Said, attempting to remove his clothes, and caressing him in ways described as uncomfortable and non-consensual.In another video that has surfaced, Nina is seen getting closer to DisguisedToast during a massage at an event and touching him without his consent. DisguisedToast later described this as "very uncomfortable." He said:"I felt very uncomfortable, but I didn't want to make a scene because there were cameras on me and it was a sponsored event."Soon Lin apologised, saying:"I'm old enough to own up to what I did wrong. I thought it was a joke. I just thought he was laughing, but yeah, I see it is wrong. What we did was wrong."Nina Lin's account was restored soon after the incident, which upset fans and streamers. Famous streamer Valkyrae said:"I cannot believe that Nina Lin is unbanned. Toast posted a video where she touched him, and he said he was uncomfortable. I think it's crazy she was unbanned so fast after the Said situation."Another streamer, Asmongold, also commented on the issue. He said:"People like this need real punishment. Getting banned on Twitch is not enough."Fans are asking for a permanent ban as her actions keep going against Twitch's Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. As of now, her channel is still suspended, and no legal action has been reported. Stay tuned to Soap Central for more information.
