YouTuber MrBeast is sharing details about his security expenses.
During a recent Kick livestream with xQc and Adin Ross, the YouTuber was rallying to raise money for his latest philanthropic efforts when he briefly opened up about how much he spends on security each month. Born Jimmy Donaldson, he reportedly has a net worth of $1 billion, and during his livestream, he remarked:
“We have money on set. We have lots of security. You would be surprised to see the amount of money I spend a year on security," he said, before remarking it was “millions.” He added, “Some months, I spend over a million dollars. We don’t f*** around.” Still on the same topic, Adin Ross chimed in to reveal the amount he pays, which is “100K a month.”
MrBeast's finances explored as YouTuber says he is being consistently tracked online:
Elsewhere in the livestream, the social media juggernaut also opened up about a server on Discord that consistently monitors his every move.
“You know the craziest thing that happened? I go to a Target, super late, to just get a toothbrush and as I’m checking out a kid runs in and he’s like ‘holy s*it, its MrBeast’ and he’s like ‘there’s this Discord I’m in that tracks your location,” he told Adin Ross and xQc.
He also noted that whenever a photo of him makes it to the internet, the server “auto updates” and people “try to figure out” where he is.
“He’s like ‘I got a notification that said you were in this Target because someone posted a photo on Instagram of it and you’re here!’ and I was like ‘what the f*ck!’”
He then said that he now relies on a “four-minute rule," which means that whenever a photo of him is shared online, he tries to leave the place within four minutes to avoid being tracked.
In other news, MrBeast made headlines when he revealed to the world that, despite being a billionaire, he was strapped for cash. He said that he had to borrow money from his mother to pay for his own forthcoming nuptials. In June, he took to X to note:
“I personally have very little money because I reinvest everything (I think this year we’ll spend around a quarter of a billion on content. Ironically, I'm actually borrowing $ from my mom to pay for my upcoming wedding, lol."
