Tectone took to X on October 18 to react to Twitch streamer Emiru being assaulted by a fan during a TwitchCon 2025 event in San Diego. According to a viral video circulating on the internet, Emiru is approached by an attendee during a meet-and-greet session. The male fan can be seen grabbing the streamer and attempting to kiss her neck without consent.

The event security can be seen intervening, pushing the man away, and escorting the streamer off the stage to security. The incident has enraged fans in the Twitch community, with many questioning the security practices.

Tectone, while reacting to the incident, claimed that he had "warned" streamers from attending the event,

"I tried to warn everyone. Fuck I am beyond p*ssed right now."

This comes after Tectone, in a September 25 tweet, questioned Twitch's security policy and said,

"For anyone actually going to twitch con this year with the current climate of the world: If twitch can’t even moderate their own website Why do you think they can moderate an irl event"

He asked streamers and fans attending the event to "proceed with caution.",

"Where documented attempted murders and sexual harassment’s happened with no one suffering real consequences Please proceed with caution guys, to me and many others it’s really just not worth the risk anymore."

"You're not safe there" - Tectone shows support to Emiru

After posting tweets while reacting to Emiru getting assaulted at a TwitchCon event, Tectone shared a video on YouTube titled "F*ck Twitch."

In the video (03:52), Tectone can be seen noting that he had warned users and streamers from attending TwitchCon and asked people to leave the streaming platform.

"If you're a streamer, if you're a viewer, leave Twitch now. This happened within the first 3 hours. You're not safe there. You are just not."

Tectone also alleged that Emiru had a security guard two years ago who attended TwitchCon and stopped a fan from sexually assaulting her. Tectone claimed that Twitch’s leadership and staff banned the security guard from ever attending the event again because they disagreed with his approach to handling the fan.

Tectone also blamed Twitch CEO Dan Clancy for the incident and called him a "buffoon". He accused Clancy of allowing unsafe behavior to continue on the platform and during events.

Tectone is not the only one who has expressed concern about safety at TwitchCon events. Valkyrae and QTCinderella, while speaking on their Wine About It podcast, noted that they were considering not attending the event after Japanese streamer Airi Sato was killed during a Twitch live broadcast in March 2025.
