Professional gamer Peterbot, or Peter Kata, apologized for using racial slurs in a video that surfaced on August 8, 2025, on social media platforms. In his apology, Peter said that he was “heavily influenced by others and asked to say it”:
"A video has surfaced showing me using a racial slur while at the "agent house." This incident took place when I was 16 years old. At the time, I was in an environment where I was heavily influenced by others and was asked to say it. That does not excuse my words, but it is important context for understanding the circumstances."
He also added,
"I recognize now how deeply wrong and hurtful that language is. I take full responsibility for saying it, regardless of my age of the pressure I felt in that moment. I want to sincerely apologize to the communities affected and to anyone who has been hurt by my words. I am committed to continuing to learn, grow, and ensure that my actions moving forward reflect respect and understanding."
What did Peterbot say?
On August 8, 2025, an old video of professional gamer Peterbot surfaced on the internet where he can be seen eating a cake. When Kata realized that he was being recorded, he said,
"Bro, stop being gay bro. (The professional Fortnite pro appears to be addressing the cameraperson). Fa**ot. N***er. N***er. N***er. N***er (A person says, 'Delete it!')."
Kris Lamberson, also known as Faze Swagg, commented on the viral resurfaced clip, questioning the language. Kick streamer Louis LosPollosTV also chimed in with his opinion and said that he always knew “something was off” with the gamer:
"I knew something was off with bro,...You can't be that good at Fornite without being a f**king weirdo. The amount of people exposing themselves is insane "he was only 16" don't act like you don't say it."
After the apology went viral, fellow Twitch streamers Evan “Cented” and Moahmmed “XSET Faxuty” shared their thoughts on the streamer’s apology.
Cented admitted that Peterbot “wasn’t a great influence.” He also stated that he had not encouraged Kata to use the slurs and that he “definitely let it fly.”
"Guys since we're taking accountability I'd like to do my part and say I wasn't a great influence. I did not ask him to say it or anything but I definitely let it fly."
XSET Faxuty commended Peter for taking accountability and urged him to “learn from it and grow.”
