Tennis star Kamil Majchrzak is lauding the internet for finding the young boy who was wronged by a grown man at the US Open on Thursday.

In a now viral video, the Polish tennis player can be seen handing over a cap from his head to a juvenile fan. However, a grown man standing beside him intercepted and grabbed the cap for himself, leaving the child visibly anguished. He tries to get Majchrzak's attention, to no avail.

Kamil Majchrzak caught wind of the incident shortly after, and he took to his Instagram Stories to lament not tending to the boy sooner. He also noted that he's "prepared" to dish out as many caps as needed to the boy.

"After the match I didn't record that my cap didn't get to the boy," he wrote. "Thanks to @asicstennis I've got enough caps, so I'm prepared for that. Hey guys, could you help me find the kid from my match. If it's you (or your parents see this), please send me a DM."

However, he has since issued an update confirming that the internet has identified the boy for him:

"I am impressed by the power of the Internet. We got it! All good now."

As of this writing, it is unclear if the man in question was related to the child.

The details of Kamil Majchrzak's recent showdown at the US Open explored:

The New York Post has reported that Thursday's match saw Kamil Majchrzak, 29, nab a five-set victory over No. 9 seed Karen Khachanov. He was doing the rounds and greeting his fans in the stands, as is customary for those who emerge victorious.

According to The Daily Mail, the sportsman has been on a winning streak in recent months, as he recently came out on top in a Grand Slam finish at Wimbledon in July. He reached the fourth round before he lost to Khachanov, though he exacted revenge in New York, where he beat the latter and progressed to the third round, which also saw him mark his best result yet.

According to the Free Press Journal, after his game on Thursday, he said,

"This is the biggest win of my career. It shows I can compete with the very best and gives me so much belief."

Kamil Majchrzak is now expected at a showdown against Leandro Riedi, and should he emerge victorious once again, he is looking to get to the fourth round of the Grand Slam.
