"I'm very confused": Candace Owens reviews footage from the camera behind Charlie Kirk during his assassination and claims "there's no blood"

Candace Owens has reviewed the video of the exact moment Charlie Kirk was gunned down.

The Turning Point USA founder was gunned down on September 10, 2025, at Utah Valley Campus. Following a two-day manhunt, Tyler Robinson, 22, was arrested and detained in connection with the murder.

In the days since, however, Owens, a fellow right-wing podcaster and the self-declared "best friend" of Kirk, has been weighing in on the developments in the investigations. In her latest commentary, she alleged that a video she obtained from the camera that was positioned directly behind Kirk at the moment of the shooting.

"There's nothing gory about this footage from the back," she remarked. "The thing that really stood out to me and I just asked them to play it back to me over and over and over again, is that there's no blood. There's no blood from the back. So I think a lot of people were wondering if that bullet pierced and went out the back."

She went on,

"I'm very confused. Not by what I saw, but what I didn't see."

In her latest YouTube video, Candice Owens also expressed doubt over the bullet not piercing Charlie Kirk, who was shot in the neck, all the way through:

"I thought the feds were saying they were looking for a bullet at some point, which is now very alarming to me. I don't understand that. How could they be looking for a bullet, because if I'm not seeing any blood, what are we to take from that? The only thing that makes sense... is it were inside of Charlie. And the feds would have known that."

The US conservative activist also alleged at another point in her video that Tyler Robinson went to buy ice cream right after he allegedly assassinated Kirk. Noting that the information was "exclusive," Candace Owens shared an image of Robinson at a Dairy Queen outlet in Orem, where the incident took place.

In it, Robinson can be seen sporting a maroon t-shirt and a cap. Candace Owens said it was taken at 6.38 pm. However, there is no official intimation confirming that the image is authentic.

As reported by The New York Post, Eric Bolling, who formerly hosted Fox News and Newsmax, spoke to Patrick Bet-David on his PBD Podcast this week about Candace Owens and Charlie Kirk's relationship. According to him, the pair were "tight" over a decade ago through their collaboration on Turning Point USA, but they

"had a break-up" because her "theories got just a little but too down the rabbit holes." He added, "It was too extreme for [TPUSA's] taste. Charlie, to his credit, kept a cordial friendship with her for years, but it hasn't been a communication pipeline between the two for many years."

Bolling also claimed that Candace Owens does not have a bond with Charlie Kirk's widow, Erika Kirk. Per The New York Post, while the former did not hold a formal role within the organisation following her departure, she did make several appearances as a guest speaker, with one event as recent as last year. She is also featured on the official website.
