During Dua Lipa's November 28 concert at Estadio Nemesio Camacho El Campín in Bogotá stop on her ongoing Radical Optimism World Tour, the British singer surprised the audience by performing Shakira's hit song Antología entirely in Spanish. Lipa's performance was significant because the tribute took place in the same city where Shakira wrote the song nearly three decades ago.

Videos of Dua Lipa's Antología performance were quick to go viral across social media platforms. As fan videos flooded social media, Shakira reacted publicly. She reposted the clip on her official Instagram page and wrote:

"I am so touched to hear my song in Dua's voice, in the same city where I wrote it years ago. See how music brings us together? a girl from London and another one from Barranqulla! Thanks @dualipa ! What a treat! 💕"

Notably, Dua Lipa replied under the post in Spanish, saying:

"Fue una noche hermosa y me encantó cantar tu canción!!! I ❤️ you!!!"

This translates to:

"It was a beautiful night and I loved singing your song!!! I ❤️ you!!!"

Dua Lipa covers regional music during each stop on her ongoing tour

The Bogotá performance became a part of the relatively growing instances of Dua Lipa covering regional music during the Radical Optimism tour. In Argentina, she performed works from Soda Stereo and Miranda!, and in Peru, she shared the stage with local singer Mauricio Mesones. On the other hand, in Chile, she played a Mon Laferte song.

However, Antología carried a significant symbolism. Interestingly and coincidentally, Shakira performed the same song that night, but at a different venue in Paraguay as part of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran Tour.

Dua Lipa's Bogotá concert began with a setlist of her beloved hits, including "Levitating," "New Rules," and "Don't Start Now." As the show went on, Dua addressed the audience in Spanish. Notably, she recently passed her GCSE and A-Level exams in the language. She introduced the Antología cover, saying:

"The next song changes every night. Tonight, I want to sing a song I absolutely love, from an artist who inspires me because of how she has evolved and touched so many hearts. If you know it, sing with me. This is Antología."

As part of her Mexico dates, Dua Lipa will host a temporary pop-up restaurant called Tacos La Dua in Mexico City from December 1 to 5, 2025. The event will include themed dishes, limited merchandise, and more. She will also host a book conversation event in La Americana bookstore.

  • Monday, December 1, 2025, Mexico City, Mexico, at Estadio GNP Seguros

As Dua Lipa's Antología cover clip gains notable traction and a repost from Shakira, it seems that the Bogotá concert will be highlighted as the night when two beloved artists and two different crowds synchronized over a song written nearly 30 years ago.
