"I am ready to...embark on my own journey": Streamer Maxwell 'Plaqueboymax' announces his departure from FaZe Clan

Streamer Maxwell Elliot Dent, who is popularly known as 'PlaqueBoyMax', has officially announced his departure from FaZe Clan.

On August 5, 2025, Max uploaded a YouTube video titled, i left faze clan, on his official channel, where the 22-year-old discussed his departure with his fans. He has, however, not revealed why he planned to quit. He said:

“Yes, I am leaving FaZe. I can't fully go into depth while I'm leaving FaZe, but I am leaving and I'm ready to, you know, embark on my journey. [I] worked the hardest I ever have in my career to do whatever I gotta do to make 5$TAR the biggest shit possible, make myself the biggest shit possible. Just keep working like we have for the past four years.”

He added:

“There's old clips where y'all n***as thought I got got, cause I'm like, ‘Oh, I’ll never join a group, etc.’ I ended up joining a group and I'ma be honest: it's one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life, joining FaZe, like, for sure … Like, this sh*t changed my life.”

PlaqueBoyMax is a Twitch streamer, music producer, rapper, and YouTube personality. He was born on April 3, 2003, in New Jersey and is currently 22 years old.

According to a report in Rolling Stone, he is among the Top 15 streamers on Twitch. In his streaming series, In the Booth, PlaqueBoyMax invites guests to create and record songs live on stream. In one of his interviews, reported by Rolling Stone, he said:

“We run the internet. Imagine you was watching Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which obviously was such a big show, but it’s live with a Twitch chat, where you can interact. That’s where streaming is heading.”

Although we have seen rappers like Kai Cenat and Adin Ross, who is Max’s inspiration too, inviting guests on their live streaming, he is the only one to make music with his guests.

In his series, Max also raps, produces, and engineers the song with his artists, giving his viewers an insight into the recording process. They include 41, Lazer Dim 700, Ian, DDG and more, according to a report in Complex.

PlaqueBoyMax has gained more than 2.1 million followers on Twitch, more than 700K followers on Instagram, and 1.54 million subscribers on YouTube. According to Famous Birthdays, one of his most popular streams was titled, LIVE EARLY WITH THE BEST COMMUNITY EVER!. It has been viewed over 25,000 times.

Twitch star FaZe Silky also bid him farewell through an Instagram post. Taking to his Instagram, he wrote:

“Not everything you see is trolls, love bro and pray he goes up on his solo journey.”

Max’s departure was confirmed by YourRAGE, who confirmed in his stream that it is “100% real,” emphasizing that it was not a troll.
