For Ice Spice, true friendship isn’t just about matching outfits or fun nights out. It’s about empowerment. As the face of Kate Spade New York’s “To the Ones Who Carry Us” campaign, the rapper is highlighting the beauty of genuine, ride-or-die connections.

In an exclusive interview with People, Ice Spice said:

“My best friends always remind me to be myself, and that’s something that sticks with me day after day. Shine how you shine, take up space, and don’t apologize for it. The real ones will support you no matter what.”

Ice Spice knows a thing or two about statement accessories, and turns out, so do her besties. When asked about the best gifts she has received from her BFFs, she answered:

“Ironically, my favorite gifts I've received are bags or luggage, and they're also my favorite gifts to give.”

Meanwhile, with summer right around the corner, the rapper is ready to hit the road — in style, of course.

“This summer, I’m looking forward to making more music, traveling, and just being outside with my people. And of course, rocking my Kate Spade New York Deco bag everywhere I go.”

The campaign, which also features Charli D’Amelio, celebrates the women who hold us down and hype us up. From glam girls’ nights out to heart-to-hearts in sweats, the Barbie World hitmaker says both are essential:

“She loves to when her crew can go out to dinner and really live it up, but she also loves to have girl talk when she's at home in sweats with her friends.”

Ice Spice gets candid about friendship: “My girls are everything to me.”

The conversation also shifted to Ice Spice’s idea of a girls’ night out, and for her, having dinner and snapping pictures always do the trick.

“Honestly, I’m down to do anything as long as I’m with my girls. Grabbing dinner somewhere cool and low-key and taking a million photos is always a good time.”

She also took a moment to gush about her inner circle, saying:

“My girls are everything to me. We hype each other up, we laugh till we cry and we always make time for each other, no matter what’s going on, whether it’s a quick FaceTime or sending a voice note.”

Meanwhile, when it comes to her ideal girls' night in, the rapper believes it’s “all about comfort.”

“We’re in sweats, ordering takeout, watching movies, and catching up on everything. It’s the best time for those important deep conversations, a post-breakup pep talk if my girls need one, and all the things we don’t always get to say out loud.”

The Deli artist went on:

“Those chill nights mean just as much as going out — it’s about being together, feeling safe, supported and loved. It doesn’t have to be a big moment — just being around each other makes all the difference.”
