Fakemink is disputing rumors that his beef with Nettspend is related to homophobia. Born Vincenzo Camille, Fakemink has been involved in a feud with Nettspend, whose legal name is Gunner Shepardson, in recent weeks. He reportedly slammed the latter for expressing his desire to wear a dress one day, though he has since claimed that his reasoning had nothing to do with homophobia, and was far worse instead: "They call me racist and homophobic but I'm not. I don't hate any race or any sexual orientation. They think this beef stems from homophobia. But if you knew the truth your jaw would drop to the floor. Ima keep quiet though. I'd rather be hated on than exposing dirty laundry." Everything we know about Fakemink and Nettspend's beef: For context, on October 5, Camille took to Instagram Live to seemingly throw shade at Shepardson. At the time, he said: "Imma see you in a dress, and you're gonna see me on a screen"He has since doubled down on his claims that his jibe was free of any homophobia: "I don't hate on anyone that wears dresses, but you won't ever catch me in a dress. That's what I'm saying. I'm not homophobic, like I'm friends with ecco2k, I'm not homophobic. Plus, I don't do diss tracks. If I want to beef with someone, I tell it to their face."As for Nettspend, while he has yet to address Fakemink's jibe up front, he took to Instagram Live on November 2 to spit bars. In it, he seemingly referenced the former's decision to unfollow him on the social media platform: “I just peeped that you unfollowed me and I ain’t even know it"As of this writing, further details about their feud remain unclear. The pair were reportedly set to drop collaborative projects. However, Fakemink seemingly dropped a diss track last month, titled Look At Me, towards his former friend instead. Nettspend is a rapper-songwriter who went viral after he dropped a snippet of his track Drankdrankdrank in late 2023. He dropped several singles on SoundCloud before he released his debut mixtape, Bad Ass F*cking Kid, on December 6, 2024. One of his songs, "Shine N Peace," was named one of the best tracks of 2023 by The Fader and The New York Times. As for Fakemink, previously known as 9090gate, he is a British rapper-producer. He began producing music at the age of 10, though he started out as a rapper in 2019. His first song on Spotify was a collaboration with fellow British rapper EsDeeKid. He debuted his first studio album, London's Saviour, in December 2023, and by the following year, he dropped over fifty singles alone.
