Sean “Diddy” Combs is on trial in New York. The trial is about serious charges. He faces counts of s*x trafficking, racketeering, and related crimes. In the latest court session, Special Agent DeLeassa Penland testified as a summary witness. She shared records tied to Diddy, Cassie Ventura, and an escort named Jules. These records focus on a meeting in December 2009 at the London Hotel. The judge is Arun Subramanian. The jury is listening to the evidence.

As per the reports by The Washington Post, the most important new information comes from Penland’s testimony. She reviewed charts showing travel and hotel records. The charts link Diddy to the meeting with Cassie and Jules. The records include AmEx charges for flights and rooms that match the dates. The prosecution says these link Combs to alleged “freak‑offs.” The jury must decide what the records mean and if they show wrongdoing.

The trial is in its sixth week. The prosecution plans to use summary witnesses like Penland to close its case. A short break happened after Penland’s testimony. The jury will return soon. The defense will then question the jury about a dismissed juror. That juror is Juror No. 6. He was removed for giving inconsistent answers about where he lived. The judge will also speak to another juror about a separate issue.

Summary witness Penland presents December 2009 records in Diddy's trial

The Washington Post disclosed, Penland is a special agent with the US Attorney’s Office in Manhattan. She works as a summary witness. Her job is to review charts and say what they show. She cannot say what the evidence means. She only reads the records and data.

The key chart covers 71 entries. It tracks “meetings” between Diddy, Cassie, and others from 2009 to 2017. One entry is for December 2009 at the London Hotel. The chart lists flight records and hotel invoices. They match the dates of Diddy, Cassie, and Jules staying in New York.

As per the reports by Too Fab, Penland explained that Diddy's American Express card paid the flight and hotel bills. These included tickets for Cassie and Jules. She also said flare-ups in the records match known travel logs. During testimony, Penland read details about the itinerary. Diddy asked his finance director to book a flight for Jules under his name. This flight was scheduled from Los Angeles to New York. Documents show the itinerary was stored on company systems under Combs Global.

As per the Independent News, other records include credit card charges at the London Hotel. The invoices show a room for both Cassie and Jules. All the charges were on Diddy's card. The prosecution says these show he bankrolled the meeting. They call it part of the evidence of transporting people for prostitution. Before the court adjourned, the jury also saw “freak‑off” video snippets. These were quiet clips taken at hotels, shown under private viewing conditions. The videos lasted up to 39 minutes, but only parts were shown.

The Washington Post states that Penland will return Tuesday to review more records. She will go over meetings tied to a woman going by “Jane.” She dated Diddy from 2021 to 2024 and testified under a pseudonym.

Trial updates: juror removal, next steps, and what this means

On Monday morning, Judge Subramanian dismissed Juror No. 6. The judge said the juror gave inconsistent answers about where he lived. He called the answers a “lack of candor.” The juror said he was partially living in New Jersey and the Bronx. This made the judge question his honesty. These were stated in the reports of The Washington Post.

When the defense asked, the judge said he would clarify what was told to jurors tomorrow. He also said he will question another juror about a separate matter later today. After the jury was dismissed, the court took a lunch break. The session will resume on Tuesday.

The prosecution says they hope to finish their case by Wednesday or Thursday. They say that after Penland, they have one more summary witness. Then they may rest the case. The witness expected after Penland is Brendan Paul. He is a former assistant to Diddy. He may testify under an immunity agreement. He could be on the stand Tuesday.

As per ABC News, if the prosecution rests mid‑week, the defense will start their case. They plan to call up to three witnesses. One is Vashta Dunlap, a former HR chief at Diddy's company. They may also bring others this Friday.

As the trial moves into its final week, each new chart or witness adds layers. The London Hotel chart from 2009 may weigh heavily. It is now up to the jury to assess the facts and draw conclusions. The defense case could begin as soon as Friday. Justice is unfolding in real time.
