Diddy is reportedly counting on a presidential pardon from Trump next year.

The disgraced mogul, whose legal name is Sean Combs, was recently transferred to FCI Fort Dix. TMZ has reported that since then, he has been bragging to his fellow inmates that the president is likely to help him get out early next year, per sources at the federal prison.

Just last month, the outlet reported that Trump was considering granting the pardon, with a source noting at the time,

"Trump will do what he wants."

Sources also told TMZ that Diddy has been promising his fellow inmates that he will take care of them and guarantee their freedom when he's released.

The latest developments in Diddy's case explored as rapper scores huge legal win:

Diddy was shifted to the federal prison just last week, where he will be serving a 50-month stint for convictions relating to prostitution charges and the Mann Act. He has already served over 13 months at the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York after he was arrested in September 2024, and his expected release date is around May 2028.

USA Today reported earlier today that the Bad Boy Records founder scored a legal win when a judge signed off on expediting the process to appeal his sentence and conviction.

Per the outlet, Judge Beth Robinson in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit signed off on the request, allowing the process to kick off in December. The U.S. government, the opposition in the federal case against the embattled mogul, did not fight this request, per the outlet.

The development comes days after Diddy's attorneys filed an appeal in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Oral arguments are reportedly scheduled for April 2026.

"To ensure that Mr. Combs could meaningfully benefit from any appellate ruling vacating his sentence, we have proposed a schedule that would expedite this court's consideration of Mr. Combs' appeal," the filing stated. “IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the motion is GRANTED,” Robinson reportedly wrote in her brief ruling.

Diddy was sentenced just last month, and in addition to his stint behind bars, he was ordered to pay a $500,000 fine and undergo five years of supervised release. The rapper was initially looking at life behind bars for the egregious RICO and sex trafficking charges, though he was acquitted following a 2-month trial.
