IShowSpeed is not too thrilled about having missed out on the chance to meet Cristiano Ronaldo—all because he missed his flight.

In videos circulating online, the streamer can be seen conversing with Rafael Leão as he congratulates him and thinks his hair "looks good." That's when the latter informs him that had he made it to the recent Nations League final, where Portugal won against Spain, he would have been able to meet his football idol.

IShowSpeed lamented the missed opportunity, revealing that he "missed his flight."

"Oh my God, I really missed that. I'm so mad, bro."

The two then set up a meeting in Miami, seeing as Leão said he's flying out soon.

IShowSpeed and his longtime admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo explored:

This Sunday, June 8, Portugal defeated Spain in overtime, with a 5-3 on penalties. Their score was 2-2 before that. This then meant that the nation had become the first team to ever secure the UEFA Nations League win for the second time in history.

Ronaldo, the captain of the team, scored the equalizer in the second half, allowing for the match to continue in overtime. Goalkeeper Diego Costa managed to save the penalty from Alvaro Morata, eliciting a wave of reactions online, including one from IShowSpeed.

Shortly after the game, the streamer, who sported his number 7 jersey in the entirety of the match, reacted ecstatically:

"When I said Ronaldo won... We are now Portugal baby. We up."

Back in January, as he turned 20 years old, IShowSpeed took to Instagram to reveal that he opted for a Cristiano Ronaldo-themed birthday cake. He also showed off photos of his Portugal jersey.

"happy birthday to me i’m 20 now," he captioned the post at the time.

Ronaldo, a five-time Ballon d'Or winner, caught wind of the post, as he left a comment under it:

"Happy Birthday, Speed! 🎉 Hope your day was great. Stay wild and fast!"

The post went viral, amassing 5.6 million likes on Instagram, while the comment itself has over 800,000 likes. As for the comment, it undoubtedly made the streamer's day, seeing as he has long been a fan of the legendary sportsman.

The two first met back in June 2023, all thanks to Rafael Leao. At the time, the latter introduced the two following Portugal's games against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Videos from the moment show IShowSpeed exclaiming "Oh my god" repeatedly as he tackles visible disbelief. They also took a picture at the time, with the streamer even attempting to get the ball rolling on a 'SIUUU' celebration.
